You can NEVER use heat! 🔥
At Crown Curly we celebrate individuality and the essence of what makes you! If you want to get a blow dry, yes you can still sit with us.
But let’s talk damage control:
On your next wash day add in some extra moisture with an extra helping of TLC. Make sure you spend some time putting the moisture back in 💦
Are you hearing the ‘milking’ sound as you work our Conditioner through the individual sections of your hair?
Or use the ‘bowl method’ where you collect the water as you ‘rinse out’ your conditioner to re-pour over your hair as much as you desire for added hydration 💧
Top Tip on using heat to diffuse your hair:
The higher the heat the more fluff you may get, start on low and then go higher to add more volume 👩🏻🦱

This is probably the question I’m asked more than any other!
The first thing I always say is that frizz isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Frizz creates volume and softness, so rather than trying to get rid of it completely, I love teaching people how to work with it instead of against it 🩷
Of course, if a smoother finish is what you’re after, the biggest game changer is water.
More water means more hydration, less frizz and larger curl clumps 💦
Apply your styling products while your hair is soaking wet to help lock in moisture and encourage smoother, more defined curls.
There isn’t a right or wrong result, it’s all about the look you’re trying to achieve. Some days you might embrace the volume, and other days you might want a sleeker finish 🧑🏼🦱
Learning to adjust your water levels is one of the easiest ways to customise your curls.
