Tending to Anxiety with Mindfulness
Hey friends,
�I want to share a little about anxiety and how mindfulness has helped me navigate it. Anxiety is a natural part of being human—it's like a warning signal, guiding us to be aware of what's happening around us and what “dangers” may lure ahead.
But sometimes that signal gets overly sensitive or stuck, like a smoke alarm that won’t turn off.
Interestingly, anxiety can also arise when we avoid feeling deeper emotions like anger, fear, sadness, or grief. These emotions are natural and essential—they’re meant to be felt, processed, and released. When we avoid them, anxiety can intensify.
Here are a few tips to stay mindful when anxiety shows up:
1. ✨Pause and Breathe ✨– When anxiety kicks in, take a moment to breathe deeply and come back to your body. This simple act of mindfulness helps ground you in the present.
2. ✨Acknowledge Your Emotions ✨ – Instead of pushing anxiety away, try to notice what it’s really signaling. Are there underlying emotions like fear or sadness that need your attention?
3. ✨Feel Without Judgment ✨– Allow yourself to feel these emotions without labeling them as “bad” or “wrong.” They are part of the human experience and deserve your compassion.
4. ✨ Come Back to Your Senses ✨– Mindfulness is about being present in the moment. Focus on something tangible, like the feeling of your feet on the ground or the sound of your breath, to bring yourself back to now.
Mindfulness has been a life-changing practice for me, helping me stay centred and compassionate toward myself, even when anxiety shows up. May we all learn to meet our emotions with patience and presence. 🌿

🔥❤️ On this 3rd of February I returned from an year-long soul journey that included Bali, New Zealand, Guatemala and Brazil.
2023 is an year I will cherish and remember for the rest of my life. Amongst many things that inspired me to take a leap into this exciting adventure was the colossal intuition I had to dive deep into the landscape of inner being, and explore the timeless wisdom of nature and meditation. To rest my attention in the ocean of consciousness within, beyond the clock and constructs of man and surrender myself to witnessing the interconnectedness and perfection of natural life.
The experiences I had in this journey deepened profoundly my sense of inner peace, present moment contentment and communion with the forces of nature, in a way that humbled my soul and gave me deeper meaning and inspiration to be of greater service to the happiness and health of others.
It also brought me a crystal clear clarity of where I should place my attention, how to bring order and prosperity to all ares of my life and how to live in way that leads to the greatest fulfilment and service to life.
One of the messages I got was to offer a free Mindfulness Meditation Online course to help people have easy access to this incredibly practical and yet profound practice of mindful awareness and meditation. A practice that is so transformative yet many don't do it.
As someone who has been sincerely dedicated to understanding human nature, human suffering, thriving and spiritual flourishing in depth, I have come across numerous practices, bodies of wisdom and processes for change and growth. I must say though that despite the rise in many new and ancient healing modalities, techniques, inner tools for rapid change, plant medicines, and myriad of fancy products and services that are out there (some of which can be great), in my experience it has been mindfulness meditation that has created a solid foundation for true inner peace and fulfilment to flourish - even in the midst of the turmoils of emotions, and of this crazy, unpredictable and values-deficient world we live in.
For when you are on a meditation journey, although challenging, you are dealing with the very foundational dynamics within the mind that lead to either emotional suffering or wise living, contentment and the realisation of your true nature. The practice of mindfulness meditation eventually leads to the ability to bring wisdom to your direct experience of yourself and life, in the present moment, where any and all challenges arise, and this is profoundly transformative and potent. To have a higher level of awareness and inner skills founded on emotional intelligence and wisdom means that you can look after yourself with greater awareness and love throughout your entire life - all moments and during all experiences. It is a mind skill, inner tool and eventually state of being that you carry with you wherever you go. See the potential here!
With time not only we learn to disentangle ourselves from negative thought patterns and stressful experiences with more grace, but also we learn to connect to the very essence of our soul; and eventually, to what I call the "Soul of the World". By that I mean a realisation that our consciousness and the space in which the whole of the universe exists, is but one. Complete, whole, and by its very essence, eternally at peace.
There is no VR, special googles, A.I, pleasant sensory experience or anything created by the mind of man that can ever match the joy, fulfilment and bliss of experiencing the spectacle of life in this universe, existing within. And THAT only flourishes in a mind that has been purified in clear seeing, and can truly see, know and feel oneself as intimately at one with all of life.
While this last point pertains to the flourishing of consciousness of those who are really dedicated to meditation as a life long practice, there are many well-know benefits and gifts from being more mindful in daily living - things that all people can enjoy and access as they make meditation a part of their life (the list is too many to list here ;-)
I don't mean to sound too out there here by referring briefly to the nature of consciousness, I simply do want to acknowledge that I dot not know of anything else that is so grounded, practical, works at the very core of your entire life experience, can influence all areas of your life, has countless benefits and gifts, as well as keep deepening with time and has the potential to refine your consciousness towards a level of self-realisation, love, and fulfilment that is beyond human comprehension! Meditation truly is a powerful gift to mankind, and the crux of true health, peace, happiness and a more humane, connected and advanced world.
