Let’s talk skin/base…I’m pretty proud of my 35 year old skin, but I do have pores, pigmentation, fine lines (minimised thanks to 😉) and like any woman I get hormonal breakouts.
Remember these few points next time you do your makeup or get your makeup done:

➡️Your makeup base will only look as good as the skin under it.

➡️Skin has texture, it’s NORMAL!
Everyone has pores, just some are bigger than others. I like seeing my pores and texture, I’m human!

➡️Lighting makes such a difference to the look of your skin, texture, colour finish. So remember to look at your makeup in different lighting. This goes for inspo pics too.

➡️Hair on the face is normal!!!

➡️Your makeup will crease under the eyes, around mouth and forehead. Anywhere there’s movement and already lines, makeup will want to move into it when you move your face.
You will have to touch up slightly to remove excess product from those areas (that’s why I give a touch up kit).

➡️Flawless base doesn’t always mean full coverage (eg image above, I think this is pretty flawless with only light-medium coverage).

So next time you get your makeup done know all skin is beautiful! It’s your largest organ and we expect a lot from it when we don’t always treat it that well.
