Maria is a born and bred local and one of the coasts leading gel nail specialist with over 33 years Walk-in are welcome but phoning first is more advisable.

After 10 years working from my home based salon, I felt challenged to take up residence back in a salon. The nail industry is going ahead in leaps and bounds and being in the heart of a busy salon will support my desire to continue to grow as a nail artist. My new studio is located in Sorrento Village hair salon, Behind The Fridge. Hours listed are just a guideline. As a self-employed nail tech I

The parking at the shopping center is beyond my control. I would hate for any more of my clients to get a parking ticket so it is important that you take notice of the parking signs. Unfortunately, the 15 minutes spaces are not clearly marked and we are attempting to have that rectified if you are doing both hair and nails and are in the salon for over three hours Debbie can have the ticket voided but unfortunately the 15 minute tickets we cannot. I’ve always said you are far safer parking in one of the side streets than attempting at the car park. Hope you all understand if there’s any problems don’t hesitate to speak to either Deb or I 😘

Please Note:
Hard to identify the 15 minute spaces 🙄
So my best advice, park in the side street where no one will back into u.

I’ve been saying this for years 🤦🏼‍♀️

😡 THIS HAS TO STOP!! 😡 I have to address something that I’ve seen a lot of lately both on FB and YouTube and it, excuse my language, pi**es me off. Because of social media we are getting BOMBED with these perfect nails, right? We have already been talking about this. Everyday we see these perfectly shapes nails with sharp edges, precise cuticle application, Russian manicures (cuticle work), etc. What is actually a nail / a set of nails that a very small percentage of nail techs can achieve has in the eyes of both nail techs and clients / nail interested people become the norm. They think that these over the top perfect nails are what EVERY nail tech should be doing. This has now lead to an awful trend where clients behave like they are the professionals and have the right to bash and call out nail techs’ work publicly. “What I asked for vs. what I got” is trending in all FB groups where clients show an edited Instagram/Pinterest post with perfect lighting, perfect posing, etc. and then a quick snap shot of their own nails from a bad angle with bad lighting. The comment section is then FILLED with shady behavior calling this poor nail tech out and pointing out every single little detail that’s wrong with the nails. On YouTube there’s a trend to visit “The worst ranked salon in my town” and then secretly film the nail tech and mock him/her afterwards. THIS. MAKES. ME. SICK!!!!!!! People are getting the normal standard of nails and are calling people out like they are a judge on American Nail Idol! One girl was called out because she didn’t have the right shade of gold glitter. Read that again. She was CALLED OUT PUBLICLY - because she didn’t have - THE RIGHT SHADE OF GOLD GLITTER. This is mental and people have to stop this. These “What I received vs...” and “Worst ranked” videos are just another shape of online bullying. I ask you please, THINK before you add fuel to that mob. This is something that will poison the entire nail industry and make hard working nail techs feel even worse about themselves - and ALL OF YOU DESERVE TO ENJOY YOUR PASSION without the fear of being mocked publicly because you don’t have the right shade of f*ing gold glitter. 😤😤😤
