It’s been a bit of an adrenaline whirlwind the last few days ❤️🐾
Rufus had a stick injury where he's picked it up vertically, it's past gone past his molars and just near his tonsil, causing a puncture wound down the side quite deep having to pull it out.
Rushed him to Tugun Vet, who were absolutely incredible. They assessed him and after some time he needed to be transferred to SASH for specialist care!!
He underwent a CT scan and surgery, where they repaired the injury. He's ruptured his jugular vein also just means lot's of blood but can survive without it.
That little drain you can see is helping flush the area to make sure there’s no remaining debris or bacteria from the stick.
He has come through surgery, he’s stable, and he’s being closely monitored.
The first picture was after the OP looking a bit high and next I got to go in yesterday for a cuddle.
Hoping to bring him home later today for a calm and slow recovery 🙏
Thank you for the thoughts and love ❤️

Where the hell did the time go 😆 Coming back for you NZ I'll be there 6th and 7th June DM to secure your spot 🖤🤍
How to actually deal with low porosity, medium density hair 👇
1. Clarify regularly — ( number one priority ☝️)
Low porosity hair builds up product fast, even when it looks clean. That “film” you see? That’s often buildup blocking moisture from getting in.
Use a clarifying shampoo every 1–3 weeks (depending on product use)
If the hair suddenly feels resistant to water or products, it’s usually buildup, not dryness
👉 If you don’t reset the hair, nothing else will properly work.
2. Use heat to help products actually pe*****te
The cuticle is tight and doesn’t easily open on its own.
Warm water in the shower
Conditioner under a cap
Heat cap or steamer
👉 Heat is what allows moisture in.
3. Keep products lightweight
Heavy products sit on top and create that coated feeling.
Water-based leave-ins
Lightweight creams or sprays
Minimal layering
Avoid overloading with butters and heavy oils.
4. Condition smart, not heavy
This hair doesn’t need “more and more product,” it needs the right absorption conditions.
Light conditioners regularly
5. Apply on damp hair, not dry or soaking wet
This is the sweet spot for absorption.
👉 Damp hair = best pe*******on and even distribution
Olaplex and all it's glory 🌠

This Mother’s Day, I’ve been thinking about all the different versions of “motherhood” and what it can look like 💛
To the mums doing everything they can for their families every single day…
To the women trying to become mums, walking the IVF journey or carrying heartbreak ❤️🩹
To anyone who’s been giving so much of themselves and could really use a moment to feel looked after 🫂
I see you 🤍
I’d love to gift a cut, treatment & style to someone who truly needs it.
If this is you, or someone you know, send me a private message or tag below with a little bit about your story.
I’ll be choosing someone close to Mother’s Day.
This one’s about giving back to women who need a little love, in whatever chapter they’re in ✨

So I’ve been experimenting with the Clever Curl oil, and if you saw my stories last night, you’d have seen me try it as a pre-poo.
The aftermath didn't quite hit the spot. It does make my hair soft yet my curls lose definition, some bits stay frizzy, and it just doesn’t feel quite right.
But I have found the sweet spot
👇
The way I do like it is after I clarify: I add two or three pumps into a treatment. That way, my hair actually takes on the moisture, my curls are happy, and it doesn’t weigh them down💦🩵
