How are we already cruising our way into December?!?!

Christmas bookings are filling fast, and I really have to give a big thank you for everyone’s support again this year. I feel like the barber shop took a life of its own many years ago, and I look forward to seeing how it changes and grows over the years. So thank you all for keeping the little barber shop rolling on.

With the year ending I’ll also be doing an ever so slight price increase to keep up with operational costs. Seeing as we are leaving 2025, I’m going to raise most services by $2.50. A small increase to many haircuts will keep me snipping and paying bills in to the new year.

Thank you all once again, I can’t understate how much I value your support over the years. Happy holidays to everyone!

Easter is almost upon us! I’ve just had a look through the bookings and they are solid till the eggs get delivered, which is mind blowing. A big thank you to everyone who got in early.

After Easter I have an Aunty visiting from overseas who I haven’t seen in over 15 years. So at the moment I have a week blocked out to hang out with her. How ever I might open up a day or two if she decides to spend a few days staying up at my parents on the 23rd, and 24th. I’ll open those days up as soon as I know.

The back to school rush has been real this year, and now with Christmas, New Years, back to work, and back to school behind me it’s time to get back into the normal rhythm for 2025.

Exciting news… from this Friday we will have two people cutting out of Buzzards again! Jerry comes from New Zealand where he was a barber for 4 years, after a break to go to uni he has decided barbering is for him and is back on the tools. Some of you may have seen him in the shop getting his eye back in doing a few free haircuts. Now that the rust is knocked off he is ready to start cutting full time again.
It’s been a long search but I’m excited to be able to have somebody to work beside again, and hopefully reduce some of the wait times.

Oh deer my holidays are over!

Back on the tools today and looking forward to catching up with everyone!

Public Service Announcement: I’m heading on holidays in two weeks time, for two weeks. There are still a few appointments left before I jet off, but I don’t think they will last around long. I’m also guessing that it will be a little crazy for a week or two once I get back so I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

If you’re in dire straits for a cut while I’m gone, I can heartily recommend seeing Alan at his own little slice of paradise in Ashgrove

Finally a big thank you to everyone who has kept me run off my feet as of late. It still amazes me that the shop has taken on the life that it has, and I’m grateful for everyone of you that walks through the door.

Happy New Years everyone, thank you all for an amazing 2023. I’m still blown away by the little shop I took a punt on starting approaching 7 years ago, and how it’s grown. Also thank you all for your patience over the last month and a bit, it’s by far been the busiest I have ever been. Fingers crossed some help is on the way in 2024, I have something in the works but don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch.
