It's definitely stiff neck season, aka wry neck. This article mentions everything you need to know about this horrific and very painful condition. It's a long article but there's a few things it doesn't mention so I'll give the TLDR;
1. Usually happens on waking up and on cold mornings.
2. Usually caused by doomscrolling, overexertion & colds or flus
3. Treat with heat, pain relief, muscle relaxants and chiropractic and or massage.
4. Prevention: I would advise less screen time more stretching and stealing the blankets at night to stay warm.
