Did you know that the Shea Butter in Tuis Healing Kawakawa Balm is Organic & Certified Fair Trade Shea Butter?

The Shea Butter I use in both my Lip Balm and my Kawakawa Balm supports women in Ghana.

They are paid fairly and they are treated with care and respect.

These 'little details' matter because they're part of a far bigger picture.

It's certified Fair trade by Ecocert under the Fair for Life Program and comes from the Gumo – Kumbungu district in Tamale located in the Northern part of Ghana.

The producer works with female co-operative groups for the processing of organic and fair-trade Shea butter.

I use Shea Butter in my balms for many reasons, but the main 2 are:

1. It glides across the skin and gives balms a beautiful glossy application & texture.

2. It's high in Olleic Acid (and other fatty acids) and aids in the skins absorption of active ingredients in my balm and also has proven anti-inflammatory properties.
