After 51 wonderful years serving the Lidcombe community, it is with a heart full of gratitude and emotion that we announce our retirement from Romeo Hair Stylists, having closed our doors for the last time on January 31, 2025.

At 20 years old, one month shy of turning 21, I opened the doors in Lidcombe on 25 March 1974. Back then Lidcombe was just a small village that has now transformed before my eyes into a bustling mini city.
Each of you has been part of an incredible journey filled with precious memories I'll cherish forever. What began as a young man's dream grew into a true family business, with my wife Maria offering beauty services, our daughter Melissa working alongside us, and our young sons helping by sweeping floors and washing hair.

Through the years, we even expanded to a second salon, growing alongside our evolving community.Throughout these decades, I've had the privilege of watching families grow – styling hair for special occasions, sharing in your joys, and being there through life's meaningful moments. What began as client relationships transformed into deep, lasting friendships that will continue long after our salon's doors have closed.

A special mention to Anna, who started as an apprentice in our early years and returned for the latter years, working with us right up until our final day – your loyalty, dedication, and trustworthiness have been invaluable to us.

To Leon and his team, who shared the salon with us in recent years – your friendship has been a true gift. Your honesty, spirit, and wonderful sense of humour have made these final years truly special, and we're grateful for all the laughter and memories we've shared.

To all our staff and apprentices who started their careers with us and grew into skilled professionals – you've made it a rewarding journey.

To our dear clients, many of who made a special effort to attend for their last booking and farewell – your gesture moved us beyond words. Your loyalty and friendship have meant everything to us. The conversations we've shared, the laughter that filled our salon, and the trust you placed in us have made these 51 years truly magical.

Whilst January 31st marked the end of our official business journey, the friendships we've formed will continue to flourish. Every client who walked through our doors has contributed to our story, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

Thank you to the Lidcombe and surrounding community for embracing us, supporting us, and allowing us to be part of your lives for over five decades.
