What do you do on a rainy day off? Me, I make soap. Here is the latest batch in the mold.

The final soap batch for this week is now out of the mold. Feeling pretty happy with the result of this experiment 🤩

The latest experiment. Rose clay soap with rose geranium essential oil, and some with rose petals on top. Trying my hand at individual bars with my new mold.

I love how FB asks ' What's on your mind?' My answer is my next batch of soap after taking it out of the mold and cutting it.

Now to be patient for 4 weeks while it cures.

Today's soap batch is unscented with two colour swirl.

Am certainly learning a lot. My thought was right that the batter was too thick, due to the fragrance I added. The colour didn't sink down, but the tops are neon bright. At k3ast they look 'Christmasy'They now just need to cure for about 4 weeks. Let the experiments continue.

Here is the latest effort. The soap batter looks so much better - nice and shiny. And didn't miss any of the steps, so the red and green dyes have swirled nicely on top. Won't know what they look like inside until I cut them.

This is how my first attempt at colour swirl turned out. Will leave it to cure. Definitely not a good colour swirl, but a tiny bit better than I thought it would be. More experiments to undertake.
