At Self Care Studio we don’t go into Mother’s Day lightly. My own personal experiences combined with a long career working in an often intimate and vulnerable space with people has shown me how different this day can hit.

We’ve previously celebrated it as Matriarch’s Day, and while we still honor that spirit, this year we are embracing the traditional name while broadening our understanding of what it means to “mother”. The day can reflect on anyone significant—partners, children, those we’ve lost, challenging relationships, and even ourselves. For those lucky enough by cosmic chance to have nurturing relationship with their mothers, this day also inevitably directs our hearts and minds towards those those we care for that might find this day difficult.

At the studio, in the only way we are qualified, want to take care of those people for you. And we want to take care of you for you.
