Fun fact: skin needling can be combined with other treatments!

Skin needling has always been a favourite of mine.

It's a treatment that's in most of my client treatment plans.

It's non-invasive, effective and affordable.

Skin needling can assist with a wide range of skin conditions such as pigmentation and fine lines, as well as being combined with other treatments you're undergoing.

Want to know more? Book a skin consultation with me (via the 'Book Now' button at the top of our page) for personalised advice on whether skin needling is suitable for you.

This is a question I get frequently, many of my clients who are considering a HIFU treatment want to know the ideal age and skin type to achieve outstanding results.

Whilst every single client's skin is unique, in my experience, I've found that clients who obtain the best result share similar characteristics.

🤍 HIFU is typically best suited to clients over the age of 35 with deep fine lines and wrinkles who are looking for an alternative to an expensive and painful facelift.

🤍 It's also a great treatment for those with mild-to-moderate skin laxity and noticeable skin sagging.

I'd recommend anyone considering HIFU as a treatment to book a skin consultation with me via the 'Book Now' button at the top of our page for personalised advice on whether HIFU is suitable for you.

Pigmentation season is officially well underway.

If, like many Australians, pigmentation is a skin concern of yours, check out my three recommendations below for ingredients that can help:

🤍 Vitamin C

Vitamin C can reduce pigmentation by blocking melanin production. People with sensitive skin might see redness or feel stinging from using vitamin C. However, it's safe to use vitamin C daily in your skincare routine.

🤍 Retinol

Retinol is a form of vitamin A and my go-to ingredient for treating pigmentation. Retinol is effective at combating pigmentation by encouraging cell turnover and bringing healthier, newer skin cells to the surface.

***Avoid while pregnant***

🤍 Kojic Acid

Kojic Acid is a byproduct certain types of fermented fungi. It works similarly to vitamin C and protects the skin from environmental factors like pollution due to its richness in antioxidants.

It's important to note that not everyone's skin will respond well to Kojic Acid so I recommend doing a patch test before applying to larger areas of the face and body.

I cannot stress enough the importance of wearing sunscreen daily to prevent new dark spots from forming. It's essential even if the weather outside is overcast.

Without daily sunscreen use, the above ingredients won't be able to work their magic.

As always, before trying any new active skincare or ingredients, book in an appointment with a skin therapist.
