Our soothing Community Fair Trade organic aloe vera is sustainably sourced from farmers in Campeche, south-east Mexico.

Grown on organically certified land close to three precious rainforest biosphere reserves in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, the aloe leaves are harvested and filleted by hand within 6 hours to help preserve their freshness and ensure the aloe in our products is of the highest quality.

Avocados have a bad reputation for being notoriously hard to source sustainably, particularly when it comes to labour, deforestation and water consumption. The Body Shop proudly source avocado oil from avocados grown with sustainable agricultural practices that reduce water consumption and help and restore ecosystems. We work a with South African supplier that:

🥑 Sets aside a 3, 650 hectare area for conservation, conserving a significant area of the Afro montane forest
🥑 avoids the risk of human rights and labour exploitation

I have had psoriasis on my scalp for 30 years or more, I bought the ginger shampoo and conditioner because it is for a dry flaky scalp. I have only used it 3 times and my scalp is nearly clear and not itchy, last night I used a different conditioner and have scratched all night and day. Just used the ginger conditioner again and my itching has subsided, not completely but it isn’t as bad as it has been since last night.
