Most dermatologists will tell you to soak your tools, especially foundation and concealer brushes (any creams and liquids) once a week — minimum — to prevent product buildup.
Because these brushes are used on your face, the cleaner they are the better.
How often you clean your makeup brushes depends on how often you use them and your skin type.
Of course, if you are ever applying makeup on someone else, the makeup brushes should be washed before and after. As a professional I clean my brushes every time I have a new client.

The best and most thorough method for cleaning your tools requires water and either a gentle soap or brush cleanser.

The right way to clean makeup brushes:
• Wet the bristles with warm water
• Place a drop of your cleanser of choice into the palm of your clean hand
• Gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm
• Rinse the bristles
• Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel
• Re-form the brush head back into its original shape
• Let the brush dry with its bristles hanging off the edge of a counter, which allows it to dry in the correct shape
 TIP: never let your brushes dry on a towel- the bristles can turn mildewy 😕

The most effective trick to get your curls to stay is to let the curl cool down and set before letting it go. Take each fresh curl (still keeping the curl shape) and secure its spiral shape with a clip or a bobby pin.
Once your pinned curl is cooled down, it will allow the hair's cuticle to close and set in place, making the curl last for a much longer period of time ⏳

💫 Tip:  If you don't have the time to wait for the curls to cool down - use your blow drier to blow cold air on them from a distance
