The Mindful Mum of Two
Wellness in all stages of motherhood

THREE-NAGER
I heard this term the other day and it could not be more accurate!
I had to share this pic of Arlo, chalk all over the face and all, as it’s one of the only photos I’ve got of him lately where he’s not pulling a funny face, normally after being I’ve been prompted to ‘take a photo of me mum!’
Every second request is ‘add this song to my playlist’ and the shift in what he’s into, his play and independence in general has suddenly become so much more grown up. Everything is a constant barter and there has been a subtle shift in power as he is making more sense of the world and how we work.
The sass at times is next level. And let’s not forget those big feelings. HOLY MOLY those big feelings! The spectrum of emotions is eye opening!
But between the big feelings there is also so much joy.
I’ll be super honest and say it can be fatiguing being a part of his constant role play and developing curiosity in EVERYTHING (while also running around after a busy and fearless 1 year old) but it’s definitely a fun age and on reflection, it’s a new season of motherhood I’m really enjoying.

I’ve felt a pull to disappear on here again for a while. Why? I really don’t know. Am I back? I really don’t know.
When I’m not on here I miss the creative outlet, the community and talking to others but I’ve also been reserving my energy a little too. I think that’s what it’s really been about.
I call myself a full time stay at home mum (which is a lot on its own! IYKYK!) but the truth is I am also a working mum. I just work while most people are still fast asleep, getting in a few hours each morning before my husband goes to work each day. I am super grateful for the work I do and the fact that I can do it in my pyjamas but it does make for a long day, especially when I’m back in mum mode before 7:30am.
Some days I set my alarm in the 3am’s just so I can give myself 20 minutes of ‘me’ time in the day before starting work, and that’s after waking multiple times for comfort feeds for Mila, not to mention the insomnia that haunts me.
The days are long, and I don’t feel like I always have a lot left in the tank to give here at the end of the day even though I want to. Socials has become another thing to feel ‘guilty’ over as I know I have unanswered messages that I DO actually want to get back to, but just struggle to get over the mental hurdle to do so. Something I’m sure many can relate to!
So for the unanswered message here, texts, the unreturned phone calls - I’m sorry! And cringe saying that as I’m always telling others not to say sorry to me as I COMPLETELY GET IT!
We’re all good humans with good intentions but sometimes we just don’t have much left in the tank at the end of the day. No matter how our days look!
Do you struggle with ‘message overwhelm anxiety?’ There may be an official name for it, but I feel like it’s gotta be a thing with so many ways to connect with people these days!
And that fact alone is amazing, but it’s also a lot!! 🧡

Arlo and I went to a local health food shop to get some supplies yesterday.
As soon as we got in there, he said to me ‘mum I want to buy you something real special.’
This was a change from his usual perusing the aisles asking for the most random things for himself when we go into a shop - IYKYK!
I said ‘that’s so lovely, thanks mate’ but didn’t really think anything of it figuring he would forget about this idea.
But he didn’t. He was on a mission. At first he looked at some incense (he had no idea what it was) and then he looked at a random book. I told him we’ll come back and choose something at the end cause I really just wanted to grab my supplies and go.
When we went to go to the register, he grabbed my arm panicked and said ‘no mum. I didn’t get to buy you a present’ and ran over to where the crystals were and picked out the chip bracelet I’m wearing in the pic. It was in the middle of a display that took some effort to get off, but he was very sure it had to be that bracelet and it was only $11 so I thought why not!? He was too excited to say no.
It’s not a colour or a crystal I would normally be drawn to (red sea bamboo) but when I read it was for success and prosperity I was very much ok with wearing it!
Arlo’s determination and excitement to find something special for me was just so gorgeous. He was so proud! And this bracelet is most definitely special!
Also - I’ve since looked further into this crystal and I know why my little feeler chose this for me from him ✨❤️

So proud to be aligned with this company 🧡
A few of the leaders in our business shared their insights from a recent visit to the farms where the fruit and vegetables are grown to create our whole food based products and got to see first hand how the produce is grown, picked, cleaned, chopped and stored to create the nutrient dense powders that go into our capsules.
I love learning about our products so my brain ate up all of this information with a sense of excitement and pride.
It was fascinating to hear about how the fruit and veg are grown, the quality control and testing that goes into all of the produce picked and the processes involved to maintain the highest quality powders that are then encapsulated into our capsules.
When I say our products are fruit and veggies, I really mean it. And they are the most researched brand name nutritional supplement in the world!!!!
Grown on farms that are free of herbicides and pesticides and 3rd party tested. And the cool thing is that they use the WHOLE fruit and vegetable which means the most nutrient dense part of the produce is not thrown out as they traditionally are when we eat them.
And because they are made from real food, our bodies know what to do with them making them completely bioavailable, absorbed into the blood stream within 10 minutes!
I am so proud of the range of products we have available to you as part of The Health Hub program. They are whole food derived nutrition in a convenient capsule/chewable that can support you to build a solid nutritional foundation for yourself and your family.
If you would like to feel the benefits of providing your body with the nutrition of over 20+ fruit and veg everyday, please send me a DM. I’d love to share more with you 🧡

Now that Mila has turned one, I’ve found myself experiencing the similar nostalgic feelings I did not long after Arlo turned one. Reminiscing about what it was like to be pregnant and wishing that I had a magic wand that I could go back and experience that feeling again, even for a day.
Any of the challenges and memories of discomfort have faded, leaving behind a romanticised version of that time and I find myself reminiscing on pregnancy through rose-colored glasses.
The nausea, vomiting, constant fatigue, food aversions, blood tests, insomnia, sciatic pain and any other discomfort experienced are all an irrelevant now.
All I remember is how freaking amazing it was to feel all the internal sensations, the nervous/excited anticipation of it all and the overwhelming sense of awe of what was happening inside my body.
I grieved the end of both of my pregnancies about a week after my bubs were born. It’s just so weird that one minute you’re pregnant and the next you’re not!
Even though there was most definitely some relief to no longer being pregnant and as thrilled as I was to have my babies earth side, it still took a while to adjust to knowing that the sensation I felt in my stomach was actually just my tummy gurgling and not my baby moving around. And that protective hand on the belly is also a hard habit to break.
I was a little more prepared for this grief to possibly come up again second time around so I created a little nightly ritual that I would do after my shower using a Moxa stick and belly balm and let whatever feelings that needed to come up that day, come up. It was such a relief to give myself that space, even if it was only for 3 minutes!
Those early postpartum day are full on and it’s so easy to get caught up in your bubs needs to actually stop and acknowledge the transformation of what has also just happened for you as the mum and the body who grew and carried your baby for so long.
I’m really interested to know if any of you grieved the feeling of being pregnant at some point?? I feel like this isn’t something often talked about 🧡

When I first learnt that I could get free kids fruit and vegetable chews with my own fruit and veg capsule order with the Health Hub program, I thought it was a cool bonus, but I also didn’t think it would be something I really need to worry about as I had quite an adventurous little eater… at that point in time!
Boy did that change!
I now have a son who’s diet consists predominately of beige foods and homemade pizza (The only thing I can manage to sneak veggies onto and he will actually eat!)
To say that I appreciate the kids fruit and veg chews would be an understatement.
To know that I can get nutrition from 20 different fruits and vegetables into this body on a daily basis is a big sigh of relief. And while they are not a replacement for eating fruit and veg, they can help to bridge nutritional gaps and provide his little body with broad range of nutrients.
The Juice Plus+ Chewables aligned with The Health Hub program;
· Provides nutrients from 20 different fruits and veggies using the whole fruit
· Provides a source of Vitamins A, C & E
· Suitable for children and adults
· Gluten and dairy free
· Suitable for vegans
· Made without artificial/synthetic colours or flavours
· Made without stabilisers or hydrogenated oils
· Made without GMO ingredients
I trust both my health and my families health to Juice Plus+ and I so grateful for the nutritional boost they provide to us each day.
If you would like to know more information about The Health Hub and how you can get free children chews as a part of the ‘Healthy Starts for Families’ program (Up until the age of 18!!) along with lifetime access to our amazing wellness portal, full of family friendly recipes, workouts, webinars and mindset tools, drop a heart below or send me a DM. I’m sure I’m not the only mum with young kids who ends up with that rogue brown banana at the end of the week!
We often use them for baking (in fact I’m pretty sure Arlo thinks that all muffins are made with banana 😏) and I also like to add in the vanilla Complete protein powder for extra nutritional value.
Getting in any sort nutrients into my toddler that cannot be found in bread, cheese and chicken nuggets is a big deal these days. So if I manage to sneak in some fruit, protein, fibre and a bunch of superfoods into something that gets eaten, it’s a huge win!
The Complete protein powder is family friendly, pregnancy and breast feeding friendly and is a prebiotic blend of plant based protein and superfoods including yucca powder, mushroom powder, spirulina, pomegranate.
It’s provides a balanced mix of carbs, proteins and fats and is also a great source of fibre. It is available in both chocolate and vanilla, can be used in smoothies and cooking and each serving contains the following recommended daily intakes (RDI’s):
• 50% Calcium
• 26% Iron
• 50% Vitamin B12
• 50% Vitamin C
• 40% Vitamin D
• 18% Folate
INGREDIENTS
• A very ripe banana
• 1 Egg
• 1/2 cup of flour (I use wholemeal self raising)
• 1/4 cup of milk of choice
• 1 x teaspoon of cinnamon
• 1 sachet/serving of Vanilla Complete protein powder
OPTIONAL EXTRAS
• 1 x teaspoon of chia seeds
• 1 x tablespoon of LSA
• Sprinkle of Choc chips (ok this part is not so ‘healthy’ but I pick my battles if it means Arlo eats it)
METHOD
• Mash your banana. Add egg, milk & mix
• If adding chia seeds and LSA add these now and give them a chance to swell
• Add protein powder, cinnamon and flour. Mix well
• Add a sprinkle of choc chips to appease a toddler
• Cook in oven on 180 degrees for 15-20 min
The banana and protein powder in these muffins makes them extra pillowy so make sure you allow them to cool well!
If you would like to know more about the Complete nutritional protein powder, type the word CHOCOLATE or VANILLA or feel free to send me a DM 🧡

Hey there. I’m Nat 👋
It’s been a while since I introduced myself on here so let me tell you a bit about me.
I’m mum to an almost 3 year old boy, Arlo and an almost 1 year old girl, Mila. (Both June babies. They actually had the same ‘due date’ but Mila came earlier and Arlo came later)
I live in Melbourne, Victoria in the Dandenong Ranges with my husband, Owen and kids (Think Puffing Billy if you know Melbourne)
I’m most definitely a morning person and am generally up at 4am. I rarely make it to 9pm at night.
More often than not I am reading 5 books at once, between audio books, kindle and actual books. (Yep it takes me a while to get through them!)
I recently celebrated 20 years of service at my place of work in the school photography industry. I started there only a few days after turning 18 and it was suppose to be a 3 week job (You can do the math on how old I am 😏)
I love all things health, wellness and mindset with a particular interest in prenatal, pregnancy and postpartum wellness. I have studied as both a health coach and life coach.
I have an online business that can help support your health through whole food based nutritional products and online holistic wellness program. I also mentor other women who would like to earn an extra income working from home to do the same.
And that’s me in a nutshell in this season of life.
Thanks so much for following along!
I love being able to connect with other mums or mums to be in this space as we share all of the wild and wonderful experiences that come with motherhood 🧡

Surely we all do this?!
You’ve been looking forward to a catch up and then realise after you’ve left the catch up that you never actually a - talked about anything you had planned to talk about and b - finished a sentence without an interruption or distraction.
The only sentence you get out in the end is ‘it was so great to see you’ as you leave, even though you barely got to touch base with each other and have 30 unfinished convos 😬

I can honestly count on one hand how many times I’ve been ‘out out’ since March 2020.
Between having babies and lockdowns back in the day, leaving the house for anything more than a playground catch up or the odd rushed brunch date just hasn’t been on my agenda.
So it felt weird but also nice to dress up for an actual event recently and to go with the whole family in tow.
BUT I can also say that I was super happy to be back at home on the couch, the kids in bed, my fuzzy socks on and green tea in hand not long after the last bit of light had disappeared for the night.
Yes I am a total nana these days proud to be! 👵🏻🙌😬

Hey guys! 👋 It’s been a minute! Over 3 months in fact since I’ve shared here.
I didn’t make an intentional decision to have a break off socials, it just kinda happened.
I’ve still logged on occasionally to read messages but I unexpectedly lost all interest in scrolling, posting or sharing once 2023 rolled over.
And while it feels like there has been a whole lot of nothing happening in my life, there has actually been a fair bit going on in my world over the past few months.
In amongst the everyday, there’s been grief, returning to work (working from home in the morning before my husband goes to work so that I can still be at home with the kids) as well an unexpected but welcomed move of house.
I don’t know if it’s been due to the early rising for work, the culmination of life events or the fact that I stopped doing a lot of the little things that I used to do that brought me joy or made me feel good, but I felt myself go inwards and quiet.
And while I still appeared the same on the outside, I noticed I didn’t want to share or interact like I had been. I also felt a lack of creativity for writing, as well a disconnect from my health and looking after myself, something I usually place a very high value on.
The absence of doing things that help to fill my cup up has been starting to grind on me and that includes sharing and connecting on here. So (I THINK) I’m ready to enjoy this space again - when it feels good - and to have it be a positive in my life, rather than an unconscious habit.
I originally started this account as new mum in lockdown, wanting to connect with other mums, share my experiences and focus on wellness in motherhood.
This time off social media has been what wellness has looked like for me of late. It felt like one less thing to do and I really quite enjoyed it. (Something I wouldn’t hesitate to do again and can highly recommend!!) But I’m ready to come back. So hi again mamas! 👋
Interested to know, have you ever taken a break of socials and if so, did it bring you FOMO or joy?
