👏 Not all strength is loud ✨

This week in class we’ve been exploring Durga — fierce grounding strength and inner authority, the clarity that emerges amidst challenge. 🫣

We often think of fierceness as loud, expansive, and unmissable. But lately, for me, it’s been showing up more quietly — as steadiness.💚

A centred strength.
A calm clarity.

The kind that doesn’t need to prove anything, but keeps you moving forward anyway. 👏

👉 How is strength showing up for you right now?

I’M BACK BABY 👏 I’ve just come back from a mini sabbatical 🤓 — three months off work and a month not teaching or being on social media.

I know it’s a privilege to take that kind of time. But another round of debilitating burn out wasn’t an option. I’d been go-go-go for so many years that short breaks weren’t cutting it anymore.

The biggest shift - unplugging from socials. As soon as I did my anxiety softened. It felt like I didn’t have to keep up with anything 🫣 Sweet relief 😮‍💨

It also made me more aware of how I was spending my time. Without the usual distractions, “I don’t have time” stopped being true — and I chose to do less. It took time to relearn 😂

Summer in Melbourne means more nature, more friends, more time with my partner and our puppy. I dropped the habit stacking and the constant optimising, and just let myself BE ME.

I feel lighter for it🌞

Now I’m back — full-time work, teaching and study 📚 — and I’m bringing those reminders with me: I am whole, take your time, breathe ❤️

We’re all just figuring it out aren’t we? 🫶🏻

Out of office 🌴
Resting. Resetting. Breaking a few habits.

I’ll be back teaching and online in February 🫶🏻👏
Until then — a little less noise, a little more space ✌️

“To the wise, everything is suffering — because of the pain of becoming (*pariṇāma*), the pain of longing for what we don’t have, the weight of old impressions (*saṁskāras*), and the tension of all things in nature being at odds with one another.”

𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴…
🌿 Becoming can be painful — not because growth itself is hard, but because it asks us to say goodbye 👋 Goodbye to the versions of ourselves we once identified with, the thoughts 💭 and ideas we once held tightly, the 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 and 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨 that no longer feel in alignment.

Often it’s quiet, subtle, even invisible. Harder still when the outside world can’t see what’s shifting on the inside — while within, everything feels different.

The truth of *pariṇāma*: becoming requires letting go. And the growing pains are part of it 👏💪

🤍 If this resonates, share it with someone who’s also in a season of becoming 🌺

🤔 B U T S H O U L D Y O U ? 🤔

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should – there I said it 😎

I’ve considered sharing this thought for a while and have avoided it, mostly because I’m embarrassed that I injured myself! 😞😳

A friend asked me “can you do the splits”, I said “let me see” (on a cold body) rookie error, one overstretched hammie-light tear incoming. 😫

I couldn’t sit on my heels or bend my knee - limping around, the Osteo/myo told me no stretching and avoid yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️ (OMG — avoid YOGA, my one true love?!)

And while I’ve been going through my slow-boring-repetitive rehab for the past 10 weeks, you get time to reflect 😂 I think it’s important to say I’ve worked hard to become a YES person ~ to try new things, to grow, to not be held back by my fears, lesson are:

✨ You don’t need to say YES all the time! ✨ There is strength in the no, and consider when saying YES, what are you saying no to? (mobility, walking, yoga in my case)

✨ Take a beat. ✨ It doesn’t hurt to pause to consider or plan the next step.

✨ Be patient with yourself.✨  It’s hard when we live in a world of “have it right now”, but life is long, you have time trust the process 😎

This was for those who want to do it all right now, hope this slows you down 😅

☝️S A C R E D ✨ S E Q U E N C I N G 👌 Reflecting on the weekend just gone with Rach and Heidi in the beautiful space in Bells Beach where I got to spend 2 days with this bunch exploring and expanding our knowledge of energetics in yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️

We covered SooOo much delving into Vayus 🌬️, Mudras 👌, Mantra 🕉️ , Koshas ⚡️, Chakras 💚 and much much more!

I had SOome knowledge, BUT really getting into practicing, experiencing, analyzing and how we can weave this into our sequencing to continue to grow my yogic philosophy knowledge and expand the experiences I can offer to student integrated with asana 😱

I’m nervous and excited to start bringing this into what I’m offering, I’ve already tried on a couple new things this week 🥹

Not to mention the beautiful facilitators who were inclusive, encouraging, with all the knowledge to share and inspire 🙏 and of course the other students, vulnerable, honest and offering insight — feeling very grateful 🤩

Thanks can’t wait to learn more from you and in my own practice 🥰
