As we close the door on year 31, I would like to thank all those wonderful blokes that continue to come through this door for their grooming, banter and friendships. It drives me to want to be here well into my senior years. The very best to you and your families over the festive season and to a pleasant, healthy and prosperous new year.
Reopening January 5th 2026!

As the annual break comes to an end it's time to prep the shop for another big year.

As I put away the scissors for year no 30, I want to express my deepest gratitude for all of your support, and would like to wish you and your families a safe and happy festive season. MBS will reopen Monday January 13th. All appointment requests will be confirmed January 11th.

MBS will be trading right up to December 24th running extended hours for the annual pre Xmas rush. Then for a needed break the barber shop will close Dec 25th and reopen Monday January 13th 2025. What a year it's been!

I can't believe it has been 30 years since I registered the name. The hours dedicated to this barber shop have absorbed my life, but it has also given me nice life experiences and wonderful relationships that it has triggered over the last 3 decades. Thanks to all past and present supporters.

As we enter the 30th year of this barber shop, I again want to thank all the amazing hub of guys that has kept it going for such a long time. Wishing everyone all the very best for the festive season and look forward to seeing you all after a much needed break for a couple of weeks. Now for some family, friends and serious bitumen time.

And The Melbourne Barber Shop winds down for its annual rest for year no 28. I want to thank all of the lovely people that have supported this little shop for yet another year, especially thank you for your flexibility and understanding during the Xmas trade. Now it's time for some family, friends and bitumen.

So 2021 was just another bump in the road. Heres to a new year of lovely smooth highway bitumen, with no bumps or potholes in sight.

And that is year 27 all wrapped up! The warmest thank you to all the lovely people that have helped make this little shop alive and well, the little shop that I look forward to every day. The little shop that will now close for 2 weeks for some R&R family and fun. I wish everyone the best for the festive season. Reopening January 8th. Here's to great 2022!

So here we go, off with the trackie daks and old t-shirt and as we emerge from another lockdown- and hopefully the last!

As of right now*, the Melbourne Barber Shop will reopen for business on Tuesday the 26th of October.

At present, the opening week is largely filled by past customers who have pre-booked, but I am happy to announce that from the 1st of November, bookings are available and open right now. Before you ask, yes, I will be open on Cup Day as I don’t really need a day off right now!

To ensure a smooth, safe, happy and legal opening for the Melbourne Barber Shop, this reopening will see The Melbourne Barber Shop adhere to government health and COVID19 guidelines. I respect differing opinions and beliefs, but I am not prepared to bend the rules as they stand.

For those who are coming in for an appointment, it’s best if you avoid using hair product and please have your hair washed and conditioned on the day of your appointment.

I am really looking forward to hearing from you via the website or email, and I will call back all requests to confirm.

Unfortunately, I can’t accept new clients until things settle down and my regular customers have been looked after.

After this long lockdown, I am really looking forward to seeing all your familiar faces even if they have fattened up a little and I will have the garden shears ready for the shaggier gentlemen…!
