Mace Clinical Psychology

I love this so much ❤️❤️

Last night I had the incredible privilege of graduating with my Doctor of Psychology (Clinical). It still feels a little surreal to say that out loud!

I was also deeply honoured to deliver the graduation speech on behalf of our cohort, and to receive an award recognising outstanding research, academic merit, dedication to the profession, and contribution to the culture and community of the institute.

This journey has been one of the most challenging, meaningful, and transformative experiences of my life. There were moments of self-doubt, exhaustion, and sacrifice, but also immense growth, connection, and purpose.

I feel incredibly grateful to my family and friends for their unwavering love and encouragement, to my research supervisor Dr Russell Deighton and placement supervisors for their guidance and belief in me, and to the staff at The Cairnmillar Institute for the support and opportunities provided throughout this journey. I’m also so thankful to the many mentors, colleagues, peers, and clients who have shaped me into the psychologist and person I am today.

To my graduating cohort, what a privilege it has been to walk alongside such thoughtful, compassionate, and resilient people. I cannot wait to see the impact you all continue to have in the world!!

I’m leaving this chapter feeling inspired, proud, humbled, and excited for what comes next!
