I don’t know of many randomised controlled trials which research the outcomes of lactation care combined with osteopathic care for parents with breastfeeding difficulties. That’s why I am pleased to be involved as an IBCLC in this important research project.
The study is currently recruiting parents with babies under six months of age. Eligible participants will receive free lactation care and osteopathic treatment as part of the trial. The study is funded by and endorsed by reflecting a shared commitment to improving support for breast feeding families.
If you or someone you know may be interested in participating, I would be happy to connect you with the research team.

Feeling excited to be participating as an IBCLC in a clinical trial, offering mothers who experience breastfeeding difficulties, especially with latch, free lactation or free lactation and osteopathic care. The trial takes place in a few different clinics in Victoria. I will share a link in the comments for further info.

How Babies Work: Sleep, Eat, Thrive

What a brilliant two day conference!
I was so thrilled to hear Professor Helen Ball from Durham University, after buying and reading her book “How Babies Sleep” when first published in 2025.
All presenters were brilliant!

Babywearing, a practice as old as human kind. An evolutionary way to develop a close and nurturing relationship with our babies and toddlers. This week is Babywearing Week Downunder and the focus is on safety. Following the T.I.C.K.S guidelines.
Happy Babywearing to all the parents, grandparents and nannies out there.

A delightful meeting today with Angela of discussing her innovative creation of the Blissful Bond Boobie Pillow. A game changer for many mothers who need to support their breast and help good posture. The great news is, it’s manufactured in Melbourne, it’s almost a fashion statement and one of the very important benefits, I like to point out, it doesn’t have an odour, so won’t interfere with the highly sensitive sense of smell, babies are born with.
