First post for ages and it seems appropriate to share a pic of such delicious freshness.
Currently in Malta enjoying history, warm hospitality, sun and of course amazing fresh local food and wine. As Europe plunges into winter, this is definitely the place I want to be. πŸ₯°

An oldie in honour of World Bee Day 🐝

It’s not just about honey.

Bees are important pollinators for 75% of food crops worldwide. With the increased use of herbicides and pesticides, intensive farming and monocultures, colonies are at huge risk and global bee numbers are plummeting drastically.

Bees need protection which will ensure the protection of our diverse food supply.

How?
Let’s support our local apiarists, instead of buying processed honey. (Raw honey tastes waaaay better anyway. And is full of healthful goodies!)

Plant native plants in our gardens and use companion planting rather than chemical warfare.

Talk about it and spread the word!

A bright start to the day with this sunny juice! 🌞

Celery and carrot, with and . This juice is a big nutrient hit and has anti inflammatory and anti oxidant properties from the turmeric and ginger. Black pepper helps the absorption of turmeric so always good to add a good grind of that too
