Getting into Celebrant shape for 2026 weddings.
They don’t talk about this part.
It’s wax. It hurt. No regrets (some regrets).

What I discovered from reading Harry Potter for the first time as a fully-grown, adult, human-being man person. SPOILERS.
Unlike many adults, I’m not time-poor.
Sure, I have important things to do, like meet couples, write scripts, and cotton-bud the dirt from my dog’s left ear (why is it always the left?).
Still, for the most part, if I want to sit down at 3:30PM and watch Tipping Point, I can.
And I do.
This brings me to why I’m here - to discuss my reading of every single Harry Potter book.
Firstly, buying any Harry Potter novel as a 30-something-year-old has most likely put me on a list.
Buying the entire series has definitely alerted the neighbours.
I don’t care. I had a blast.
Harry is a wizard whose journey into the world of magic coincides with voice breaks and having a mad crush on your best mate’s sister.
Basically my puberty in nutshell.
I’m not going to summarise the plot, or even apply my advanced Year 12 Lit Award analysis.
I’ll just say two things; I love Ron. I love Luna Lovegood.
Harry is nothing without Ron.
Ron’s a failure at most things. His spells are cactus, and he takes at least five novels to realise Hermione wants to take him underneath the invisibility cloak.
The point is, he keeps trying. He’s always there for support. He’s why you should surround yourself with good people.
My ex also said when I was heaps fat I used to look like him. And that’s nice (I think).
I also dig Lana. She’s pure. She’s had some bad things happen to her. It’s probably why she walks around like she’s in a ketamine hole.
Like Ron, she’s always there. She’s herself. Genuine. That’s all you can be, right?
There were parts when I was genuinely affected.
How about when those Deatheaters escaped Azkaban? Or when Harry made Dumbledore drink that poisonous stuff to get the Horcrux? Or when Cho would not shut the f*ck up about Cedric?
I had a ball. I even saw at my local Woolies that they have a kids' Harry Potter dress-up competition.
Kids? Stuff it. I entered.
Can’t imagine what sort of list I’m on now.
