A little over a year ago, I changed everything.

I closed the doors to my salon… something I had built, loved and poured myself into for nearly 8 years. Even writing that still feels strange.

People often ask me now how I feel about it. And honestly? At the time, it felt incredibly hard. I truly loved my salon — it was something I had poured my heart into for nearly 8 years. It was a huge part of me. Walking away felt like I was giving up… like I was failing at something I wasn’t ready to let go of.

But the truth is, I was exhausted. I couldn’t keep up with everything at the level I wanted — my business, my family and taking care of myself.

What I’ve come to realise is… I wasn’t failing. I was simply choosing a different path. A new chapter — one that allowed me to be more present for my family while still doing the work I love.

This past year has been a lot. Trying to figure out who I am outside of the salon, learning how to balance being a mum and still holding onto the part of me that loves what I do… it hasn’t been easy. Some days I feel like I’m doing okay, other days I feel like I’m not doing enough in any part of my life.
But slowly, I’ve found a bit of peace in it all. I genuinely enjoy both parts of my life and that’s something I’m so grateful for.

And a huge part of that is because of YOU🤎. You’ve stuck by me through the change, supported me, listened to me, laughed with me… you’re honestly so much more than “clients.” You’re my people. My little community. 🤎

There are still moments where I feel like I should be doing more — more in business, more in motherhood, more of everything. But I’ve learned to be proud of where I am right now. To accept that it’s okay to pause, to breathe and to appreciate this season of life.

I don’t have it all figured out. I probably never will. But for the first time in a long time… I feel calm. I feel present.
And for now, that’s enough 🤎
