Why do I Share the Dignity??
When I read that women in Australia were using newspaper and rolled up toilet paper to get through their period I was to be honest just shocked it was happening in Australia and shocked that no body had done something about it!
We are all that SOMEBODY to do something about it.
So in April and August we put our sanitary collection boxes out so we can ensure NO woman is ever left having to choose between buying food or buying sanitary items.
THEN......
At Christmas time it was really apparent that kids were well taken care of with gifts at Christmas time and I thought how easy would it to be able to give a handbag we no longer used, fill it with some essentials like pads and tampons, deodorant, toothpaste, hair ties, regift some of my xmas pressies that another woman would really appreciate yet I had them sitting in my bathroom cupboard for at least 10 months untouched, so its was time to be kind in a really practical way and we now have the Xmas appeal which we will have drop off locations up early November as drop off dates are from 19th November to 3rd December and that will leave us plenty of time to get YOUR kind gifts out to the homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges, drought stricken farming communities and to women in need all across Australia.
So on this 1st August we would LOVE to see you change your profile pic to say YOU also Share the Dignity for all women in need.
