We hate to be the ones to say it, but if your treatment plan requires 4–6 weeks between appointments, you’ve basically got time for ONE treatment before Christmas.

And if you’re one of our regulars on a 3–4 monthly treatment schedule… guess what? 👀 You’re probably due again VERY soon.

And really… you wouldn’t want Santa seeing your wrinkles. 🎅🏼😂

A little update from us at Skinscription 🤍

You still get charged if you miss your flight.
You still get charged if you don’t turn up to your hotel booking.

You still get charged if you miss a class, concert or event you’ve booked.

And from now on, the same principle will apply to appointments at Skinscription.

We’ve always tried to be extremely understanding when life gets in the way, and genuine emergencies will always be treated with understanding. But when an appointment is forgotten or cancelled at the last minute, that time is very difficult for us to refill.

From now on, a $50 cancellation/no-show fee will apply if you don’t attend your appointment or cancel within 4 hours of your appointment time.

We feel four hours’ notice is still very lenient and gives us a reasonable opportunity to offer that appointment to somebody else.

Like everyone, we’re seeing the cost of everything increase. Rather than continually passing those costs on through larger price increases, we’re trying to be as conservative as possible with any increases we make and keep our treatments accessible to our clients.

Protecting appointment time and reducing no-shows is one small way we can help do that.

And we can probably thank the powers that be for this one…

From 1 October, our service prices will increase by approximately 2%.

Unfortunately, while card surcharges are being removed, the fees banks/payment providers charge small businesses aren’t. So thanks to the powers that be — the banks can keep charging us little guys, we’re just expected to wear it!

EFTPOS fees cost us thousands every year. Rather than remove card payments, we’ve made a small adjustment to help cover this cost.

Cash & bank transfer remain our preferred payment options.

For those who pre pay their treatments you will be given a complimentary microneedling or peel session every year. We will send messages shortly to thank you for using the prepay services with weekly deposits. There is no additional charge for prepaying weekly amounts for your treatments and girl maths by the time your treatment comes around it’s basically free!

One other little housekeeping update…

A $50 fee now applies to no-shows or cancellations within 4 hours. We feel this is still very lenient, with many businesses charging the full appointment cost.

You still pay for the hotel room you don’t turn up to and the flight you miss — unfortunately our empty treatment room costs us too!

You receive text & email reminders, and of course we understand genuine emergencies happen.

Neither decision was made lightly.

A bruise can happen—even in experienced hands.

Our faces contain many tiny blood vessels. When a small vessel is damaged during a needle-based procedure, blood can collect beneath the skin and cause bruising.

Bruising alone doesn’t tell you whether your practitioner has done a good or bad job. Your anatomy, the area treated and certain medicines can all influence how you bruise.

Most uncomplicated bruises gradually settle, but concerns should never be brushed aside. Follow your individual aftercare instructions and contact the clinic if you’re unsure about your recovery.

Severe or increasing pain, pale or dusky skin, or spreading patchy colour changes need urgent assessment. Vision changes require immediate emergency medical attention—contact the clinic too, without delaying care.

That feels slightly ridiculous to say in September… but here we are.

Our remaining 2026 appointments are now extremely limited, particularly around school holidays and the lead-up to Christmas.

If you’ve been planning a treatment, have an event coming up, or simply know you’d like to see us again before the end of the year, please don’t leave your booking until the last minute.

We’d much rather have you booked early with enough time to properly plan your treatment than try to squeeze everything into December.
