Wondering why your hair gets so greasy quickly every time you wash it? Here’s why 👇🏽
🧼 You aren’t double cleansing. The first shampoo breaks down oils + build up on the hair and scalp. The second shampoo ACTUALLY cleanses the hair. If you are a once a week washer you may even need to go in with a third wash.
🧼 Use your fingertips (NOT your nails). Using your nails will cause micro-scratches and cause irritation to the scalp, however your scalp LOVESS a good scalp massage, so by using your fingertips to scrub it will not only stimulate your scalp, improving blood circulation which can lead to hair growth but it will also give you a goooodd scrub.
🧼 Using the correct shampoo for YOUR hair. Everyone’s hair is different and needs different things. eg. If you have fine and straight hair and use a really moisturising shampoo it may cause your hair to be flat and have a greasy feeling, this is because it is too heavy for your hair, opt for a volumising shampoo instead.
🧼 You aren’t washing out your shampoo enough. Rinse it for at least 60-90 seconds whilst still scrubbing to really wash it all out.
🧼 Apply your conditioner or mask to your mid-lengths and ends ONLY. Your scalp doesn’t need it but your ends do.
🧼 Rinse your conditioner out thoroughly. Your hair shouldn’t feel ‘slimy’ and the water should run clear.
