I really want to celebrate an amazing friend of mine who just completed an IRONMAN today. What really makes this a special accomplishment is that Luke did today in honour of his Nan & Pop, but a significance was placed on his father in law whom his partner has really struggled with the loss of. Luke said that fighting cancer like Mr Weir did was what made an iron man, the pain that he felt today would have been nothing compared to what fighting cancer would be, he had a tribute to Allan Weir 1959-2024 printed on his cycle helmet. Well done Luke you did yourself and Mr Weir proud today and I feel privileged to even know someone as determined and disciplined as you. *CKCANCER

*** Luke’s Brother Ryan also competed today and since breaking his foot 5 weeks ago competed in the Aqua-Bike section and got 2nd place… well done Ryan..
