Hi all, hope everyone made it through the lockdown with their sanity intact. Jarod and I accidentally drank our wine collection lol

So we are back open as of tomorrow... with a few changes. They are all outlined in your appointment confirmations which I may have accidentally sent more then three times 😬 (IT expert I am not). If you haven’t received the version with the guidelines ... trust me they are coming !

Just in case you don’t see them here they are ....

-Facemasks to be worn at all times (except during certain stages of hair service)

-Safe WA Registration

-Hand Sanitizing at the door and periodically during your visit

-Due to number restrictions, only you can attend your appointment - no one additional

-Please be on time as appointments are scheduled with venue number limits in mind

-If leading up to your appointment you feel unwell, please notify the salon to change your appointment.

Not too tricky to follow, I’m sure we will all be fine and at this stage just until the 14th.

Look forward to seeing you soon and just remember next week is now epic for myself so I may be a bit fragile

A big thank you to everyone for adjusting there appointments today. Oooooh it’s going to be a big 60hr week next week but we will all get through it together....

When life gives you lemons ... pick them and swap them with someone who has limes (cause they are much better with gin and tonics)

Hey all, just wanted to fill you in on the latest. Laura and Doug have slipped into being parents amazingly. So proud of both of them and their beautiful little girl. I’ve been lucky enough to have 2 cuddle sessions so far.

The salon is pumping into Christmas mode, it’s pretty hectic to be honest but I’m coping with the load (at the moment) Big thanks to a jarod who has become Saturday's super colorist l! (A bit of competition Laura on your return lol)

The new COVID register has now been enforced and all visitors to the salon will be required to scan in. If you would like to speed up the process you can download the app before arrival .. just look for SafeWA and create an account.

1 YEAR OLD TODAY!!!

Our new salon location has been open 12 months today. Although it has been a very challenging time of late, it’s also the best thing we ever did. Thanks so much to all of our awesome clients for your support so far, our salon family is amazing.

Good news … she's back!!!
With business beginning to normalize, Laura is now back working with me … yayyyyy

After working with Laura since she was 16, I have spent more time with her then my own partner! Due to a sudden down turn I have had to make the incredibly hard decision to step our beautiful Laura down as of next week to protect your hair salon from closing.

As of Next week I will be working by myself to ensure we can keep the doors open and I encourage you to come see how we are keeping you safe (sorry I meant I).

Laura - this isn't for ever.. its just a small hurdle in life for all of us and I cant wait for you to be telling me one of your awesome... 'My friend said' ...stories again very soon.

Thanks to all the wonderful salon family that have been supporting us thus far and If you have an upcoming appointment I will contact you in due course to slightly adjust times - cause I gotta wash hair now !!!

Your daily hairdressing update (so it would seem) As of this time we are trading as normal (well as normal as we can). Again I can reassure you of a few things that we are doing to keep you and ourselves safe...

All equipment is single use

All towels and gowns are single use.

Clients are asked to please remain in their assigned chair and table and asked not to move around the salon. This area is then disinfected after every client

The front door is left open (no contact)

We will spend the absolute minimum time working in front of you (less then 5 minutes).

We will bring eftpos facilities and product to you

There is a 4 person limit imposed by ourselves giving people even more space then required by health regulations (due to this restriction, sorry no children permitted in the salon).

Laura and I Sanitize hands in between every client or contact with tools/linen (we are sterilizing our hands over 50 times a day )

No new clients are accepted at this time. I have a relationship with many of you reaching back 22 years in some instances built on trust and friendship. I know you all respect our health and your own and simply won't come in if for a host of reasons you are required to self isolate.

Hey all, we are still trading as usual... hope you guys are well. Laura, Myself and Phoenix are fit and healthy and all prepared thanks to Chris’s awesome homemade masks! (Phoenix needs to re watch the mask application video)

To all our most Valued clients I thank you for your considerable support and patience during these challenging times.

I have been overwhelmed with the comradery within our salon.

We have teemed up with the Merchant across the road another small business facing challenging times. Now ...of course we are happy to make you your beverage of choice however if you would to support the local cafe, we can text your order to them, they will deliver to your chair in the salon and carry an eftpos terminal for contactless payment.

Cafe Coffee Doesn’t get any easier then this and truth be told... I can’t believe we hadn’t thought of this earlier because what a cool service 😀

Dear Grocery shoppers in Perth... a few pointers for shopping in these trying times. We all need groceries so let’s just take a breath and remember that our society is built around respect and harmony, lets not throw these values out the window..

- respect a queue if you got there last... join the end

- if you don’t immediately need something don’t buy it and think of others

- respect other people’s space and be mindful of your social distancing ... especially in a queue

- respect the staff and listen to their instructions. They are working hard for all of us and deserve respect and gratitude

- say hello to at least one stranger... social distancing is a physical measure... you can smile or say hello from 1.5 meters away

We have a choice on how we behave during these times and we can choose to better ourselves and our community for the future now... let’s do it with Respect.
