A final little life update 💕

With our upcoming move and some changes to work and family life, I’ve made the difficult decision to step back from regular appointments and close SR Nails for the foreseeable future. Not just my books, but completely.

This hasn’t been an easy choice at all. This little business has meant so much to me over the past few years and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me and trusted me with their nails.

For now I won’t be taking ongoing bookings. I’m not dismantling my studio yet, so down the track I may occasionally open limited one-off appointments around special events if life allows, but regular appointments won’t be continuing.

I’ll be keeping this page up for now so I don’t lose my photos and memories, but I will not be actively monitoring messages, so I’m sorry in advance if replies are slow or I’m unable to respond to inquiries.

I’m also really sorry to anyone who was hoping to book later in the year, I truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

I have a bit of a life update to share 🤍

Our family is moving homes. This was a very last-minute and necessary decision for us, and while we’re excited, it does come with a big change for SR Nails.

My nail room will remain where it currently is, which means I will now be travelling between home and the salon to work. After really sitting down and being realistic about time, travel and family commitments, I unfortunately won’t have the same availability or capacity to continue my schedule the way I always have and now it means having to cut into my regular clients moving forward…

I know in my last post about reducing my incoming bookings I mentioned that it would be my final change for the foreseeable future and I promise at that time it truly was.
This move was not something we had planned and happened very quickly for us out of necessity, and I didn’t want anyone to feel blindsided.

All appointments currently booked in March will still be honoured (unless I advise otherwise). After this, I will be significantly reducing my regular client list and moving to very limited and occasional bookings.

This has honestly been a really emotional decision for me. Some of you have been with me for years, through weddings, babies, new jobs and life changes, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust and support you’ve given me.

I have loved every chat and every appointment more than you probably realise.

SR Nails isn’t disappearing, but it will be operating on a much smaller scale for at least the next 12 months while we settle into our new routine. My hope is that this time next year I may be able to build my books back up again.

✨ STUDIO UPDATE – PLEASE READ ✨

After trialling opening appointments more broadly the past few months, I’ve realised that to keep SR Nails enjoyable and sustainable for me long-term, I need to return to a smaller, ongoing client list.

Moving forward, appointments will be prioritised for my regular clients and I will no longer be releasing full calendars publicly.

Over the past few years I’ve been so lucky to have the support to grow my little nail business, and now my husband’s photography business is growing quickly as well. Just as he supported me in building SR Nails, I want to be able to support him and our family in this next season too 🤍

For anyone hoping to book a one-off appointment, you’re welcome to message me and I can advise if I have any availability at the time.

This will also mean a reduction in my set appointment days and a return to a smaller number of consistent clients.

Some clients may have already received a private message from me regarding ongoing bookings. I just wanted to mention this here so it isn’t a surprise when this post goes up.

This is the final adjustment I’ll be making to my studio for the foreseeable future and I appreciate your understanding.

✨ APRIL & MAY BOOKINGS – REGULAR CLIENTS FIRST ✨

These bookings are for my regular clients only at this stage.

Anyone who booked a leftover February or March appointment is considered a one-off client, not a regular client.

Please do not message requesting a booking if you are not a regular, I currently do not have availability and you will be advised of this.
Once all regular clients have secured their appointments, I will make a separate post when bookings open to the public.

• Times and dates shown on stories are the only available appointments

• Please do not request times outside of those shown

• Some Friday appointments have (1.5 hrs) beside them
– These are short appointments only
– Suitable for rebalances/infills and simple nail art only
– If you require a longer service, please select another time

• Standard appointment length is 1 hour 45 minutes

• Pricing covers up to 2 hours only
• Appointments exceeding 2 hours (where time allows) incur $10 per additional 60 minutes

• All usual booking policies, deposits, lateness and after-hours fees still apply

✨ PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING ✨

• These appointments are one-off bookings only

• Booking a February appointment does NOT guarantee ongoing or regular appointments

• Regular clients will always have first pick for future availability

• New clients may book follow up appointments from remaining availability only, which will vary

• If a new client books a February appointment and would like to book March as well, a separate 50% deposit will be required for each appointment. The deposit amount will vary depending on Nail Art Tier chosen on booking. Classic bookings cannot be changed to premium however premium can be downgraded to a classic. (Refer to Price List)

✨ IMPORTANT TERMS ✨

• New clients are required to pay a 50% deposit within 24 hours to secure their appointment

• If the deposit is not received, the appointment is not confirmed

• Deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment time

• I will message you within 24 hours of your appointment to confirm

• If you do not reply within 24 hours, your deposit will be forfeited and you will not be able to rebook in the future

• The confirmation message will also include the address — these details will not be given in advance

• All appointments are allocated 1 hour & 45 minutes

• Appointments exceeding 2 hours will incur $10 per additional 60 minutes

• Friday evening appointments are set, locked-in times and incur a $10 after-hours fee

• Appointments exceeding 2 hours on Fridays incur $10 per extra hour, plus the $10 after-hours fee

• I allow 15 minutes between clients only, so please be mindful when choosing designs and arriving on time

• Designs are always checked in advance and adjusted if needed to fit the allocated time
