Aaliyah had some old grown out heavy blonde and wanted to create a much darker root area (without being too far from her natural colour) and being that darkness through to some of the ends. That way we have created a more dramatic multi tonal look utilising her existing blonde hair even though it looks like we lightened it 😍

- Remaining hair left out 5.0 + 6.1 + 3.5vol

We wanted to bring some depth and natural back into the hair to break up the solid blonde as well as create a cool brunette tone over the remaining lightened hair.

A question is get asked a lot is how long between appointments for my lived in blonde looks, ones like this is generally 6-10 months for re-colour (there definitely should be some hair cuts in between 😆)

We started our day with COLOR.ME theory and moved into models at lunch time. Here are our before and after photos with the briefs and colour formulas 🧡

Model 1- Beth
Brief: an even really rich Cowboy copper Red. She used to be blonde and when she went copper her roots came out beautiful but then ends had grabbed and gone murky. We want to bring the vibrancy back and some dimension.
Formula- we paddled powder lightner and + 20vol in thick teased slices thru the murky ends (not into foil) for 10 minutes. Then rinsed off and dried 100%
Roots; CM 6.4 +3.5vol
Ends; CM 7.43 + 7.46 + 3.5vol
Refined ends at the basin; GLOSS 3/4 8.44 + 1/4 7.65 + gel 1:1

Model 2- Ash
Brief: wanted to make her colour as warm and red as possible without any lightner as she was conscious of previous damage on her hair from being a colour chameleon (love them!). We were also dealing with close to 18months regrowth.
Formula - Roots; CM equal parts 5.6+ 5.86 + 10vol
Ends; CM equal parts 6.6 + clear + 20vol + 20% RED booster

Model 3 - Kylie
Brief: a very low maintenance subtle sunkissed look. (Sorry I didn’t grab a before photo)
Formula; paddled a mixture of teasy weaves and splices using Cream lightner ammonia free +10 vol (into foil) for approximately 30min
Refined at the basin; GLOSS 7.83 + Gel 1:2
Fun fact we only used 23 foils all strategically placed for maximum impact and minimal maintenance.
