Beyond the Surface: Why I Chose the Path of Intelligent Touch
I’m often asked why I chose to specialise in therapies like buccal massage and bio-electric therapy.
The truth is, it came from a simple realisation, the body doesn’t need to be “fixed” with force. It needs to be understood.
Why I chose this path
I’ve always been fascinated by the body’s ability to hold both stress and stories.
I didn’t want to offer treatments that feel nice for an hour and then fade. I wanted to work in a way that creates a real shift.
Seeing how a targeted intraoral massage can release years of jaw tension, or how a gentle bio-current can calm the nervous system, is what continues to inspire me.
My approach
I believe in intelligent, intentional touch.
For me, this means working beyond the surface: with the muscles, fascia, and the nervous system.
– Respecting the nervous system: real relaxation isn’t possible when the body is in a constant state of “fight or flight.”
– Understanding the anatomy: knowing why tension appears is key to creating lasting results.
– Non-invasive, high-impact: supporting the body’s natural processes rather than working against them.
What we work on
Many of my clients come in not just for visible results, but because they feel tense, heavy, or slightly out of sync with themselves.
Together, we address:
– Facial puffiness and loss of contour
– Chronic jaw (TMJ) and neck tension
– Deeper, persistent stress that isn’t resolved through exercise alone
Why this is personal to me
There’s always a moment at the end of a session when someone sits up, looks in the mirror, and pauses.
