What to do when your video is "ruined" by a stranger strolling past .... this is a PSA for those people legitimately using a video for lift inspection for themselves or their coach (my coach requires a video of the mainlift in that session).
1. Firstly it's not ruined. Edit it ... easy ... (Swipe to see what I did). Or just re-do it and get on with YOUR life.
2. Have some f #$king awareness - time your set around what you see around you. If the gym is super busy then reconsider your choice of the time of day to be doing videos.
3. You only need to see a few reps to understand what needs improving - and so does your coach.
4. If you are training for Hypertrophy - your coach only needs to see the final 2-3 reps to establish effort.
5. Phone/Camera placement - I personally put it around 1m to the front of the exercise and 1m to the left. Works 100% of the time. Setting up across a walkway is the dumbest move 100% of the time.
6. Don't publish a video or photo and ridicule a stranger. You look and sound like a c when you do it and will likely see it and make you look like even more of a tool.
7. If someone apologises for walking through a video - respond with "No no, I apologise to you, it's on me to video responsibly and respectfully."

The Köhler effect. Train with a partner or a group.
Motivation and Effort. The presence of others, particularly those who are slightly stronger or more fit, inspires individuals to “dig deeper” and push beyond their comfort zones.
Accountability. Knowing that a partner is relying on you creates a psychological obligation, reducing the likelihood of skipping workouts. Studies have shown that individuals in teams with shared, interdependent goals.
