"It's probably just growing painsβ¦" π©
While growing pains are common, not every ache or pain should be dismissed.
Growing pains are usually felt in both legs, happen at night, and are gone by morning.
If your child is limping, avoiding sport, complaining about the same pain regularly, or you simply feel something isn't quite right, it's worth getting it checked.
A paediatric physiotherapy assessment can help identify what's causing the pain and get your child back to moving confidently.
When it comes to kids, early advice can make all the difference.
If you'd like your child's movement or pain assessed, book an appointment with Tayla via the link in our bio π

Is your child struggling with movement, recovering from an injury, or just not quite keeping up?
Children grow and develop at their own pace, but sometimes they need a little extra support along the way. A paediatric physiotherapist can assess how your child moves and provide fun, individualised strategies to help them reach their full potential π±
Here are three common reasons families book an appointment:
βοΈ Delays in gross motor milestones like crawling, walking or jumping
βοΈ Pain, sports injuries or ongoing aches that aren't settling
βοΈ Concerns about balance, coordination, frequent falls or the way they walk or run
Early intervention can make a big difference, helping children build strength, confidence and skills that support everyday activities, sport and play.

One appointment down and you're still dizzy?
π₯ De Hertogh et al.'s (2022) study found that on average, the BPPV group had 2-3 treatments until their dizziness was solved. And the non-BPPV group completed between 5-8 sessions.
π₯ This is why your physiotherapist will ask you to book in another appointment, so they can manage your treatment and monitor your progress.
Let's get to the cause your dizziness together! Visit the link in our bio to book with Andrew π

β’ VERTIGO β’
Did you know that not all physiotherapists can treat vertigo?
At Applecross Physiotherapy, our vertigo specialist Andrew McIntyre has undergone further training in vertigo treatment and management.
In your appointment you will discuss the nature of your symptoms with Andrew so he can determine the underlying cause and create a rehabilitation and management program. A GP referral is not essential for a physiotherapist to treat your vertigo.

Persistent pelvic pain is pain in your lower pelvis or abdomen that occurs most days for a period of 6 months or longer. It can be a symptom of many conditions, such as endometriosis or vulvodynia, but is also a condition itself.
