Just an appreciation post for my coach Coached By Cam Online PT 🖤

After John passed, I didn’t move for 9 weeks, didn’t once set foot in the gym, and had to let the hardest season of my life wash over me like a pillowcase full of bricks.

I needed something to pull me out, to take the e out of emotion and get myself back to a mental state where I could feel happiness again (physical change is purely a by product but a great one at that).

This challenge is where I found a new version of myself, where physical pain and adaptation felt like a holiday, I can’t say I’ve ever felt like this before, so I’m sure the extremities of losing someone that was your everything for nearly a decade has to come with extreme changes.

I made it my mission to learn about the emotional and neuro side of grief, to try to understand myself better, when you’re in a complete fog of pure fight or flight, it’s hard to grasp reality around you. This challenge did that for me.

I still had to run a business, that is a non negotiable in any season of life, but trying to navigate my personal life was now in the hands of a lost little girl, someone I hadn’t been in a long time (Virgos you know what I’m talking about). A season I had to rely so heavily on the people around me. I’m not good at being vulnerable or not in control so this was a whole new course for me.

I have learnt to be soft, to really let people soften life for you when you need it, that situations can’t be “fixed”, they can only be fluffed until you’re strong enough to walk on concrete again. This got me there.

Life will throw punches, and if it hasn’t yet, it will. Make sure those punches don’t leave you bleeding on others, become stronger so you can hold the torch for someone else when there’s burns out 🖤

So Cam, thank you for providing a torch for me in the darkness, some people just see a coach, but this will change your life. 💡 You are a woman, for women; it shines through in everything you do and I am so genuinely grateful for you, for your friendship and for the love and support you pour into your girls, you deserve to be celebrated 💌
