Posterior Pelvic Tilt (Backward-Tipped Pelvis)
A posterior pelvic tilt occurs when the pelvis tilts backward due to muscle imbalance—tight hamstrings and abdominals pulling the pelvis down, while weak hip flexors and lower-back muscles fail to maintain proper alignment.
Common Causes:
• Muscle imbalance: Tight hamstrings and abs with weak hip flexors and lumbar extensors
• Prolonged sitting: Especially slouched or reclined postures that flatten the lower back
• Poor posture: Habitual slouching while sitting or standing
• Repetitive movements: Overuse or constant tension in the hamstrings and glutes
• Functional or structural restrictions: Limited hip mobility causing the pelvis to roll backward
Associated Effects:
• Flattened or rounded lower back (loss of natural lumbar curve)
• Increased compression through the lumbar spine and discs
• Reduced glute strength and hip extension efficiency
• Lower-back stiffness, fatigue, and reduced movement efficiency

Trendelenburg Gait 🚶♂️
A wobbly or lurching walk caused by weak hip abductors (glute med/min). When standing on one leg, the pelvis drops on the opposite side, forcing the body to lean over the weak hip to stay balanced.
Why it happens:
Weak hips can’t keep the pelvis level during walking.
Common causes:
• Hip replacement
• Glute weakness
• Nerve injury
• Hip arthritis
• Stroke
Test:
Stand on one leg → if the opposite hip drops, it’s a positive Trendelenburg sign.

Muscle imbalance occurs when one muscle group becomes weaker, tighter, or less developed than its opposing or surrounding muscles.
This imbalance can lead to poor posture, ongoing pain, reduced performance, and an increased risk of injury.
Common contributing factors include repetitive movements, prolonged sitting or sedentary lifestyles, and uneven or improper training. Typical signs of muscle imbalance may present as rounded shoulders, forward head posture, or an anterior pelvic tilt.
Correcting muscle imbalances involves a combination of targeted strengthening of underactive muscles, stretching and releasing overactive muscles, and adopting balanced movement patterns. In more chronic or complex cases, professional guidance—such as remedial massage, physiotherapy, or corrective exercise programs—can be essential to restoring proper function and long-term pain relief.

What causes shoulder impingement?
• Poor posture (rounded shoulders, forward head)
• Long hours sitting or at a desk
• Weak or imbalanced rotator cuff muscles
• Poor shoulder blade control
• Repetitive overhead activity
These factors reduce space in the shoulder, leading to pain, pinching, and inflammation — especially when lifting the arm.
Move often. Improve posture. Strengthen smart.
And treat it early before it becomes chronic.

Seeing a lot of the same issues lately — all from office/management roles 👨💼👩💼
Long hours sitting + screens = tight, shortened muscles.
If you’re not moving every 30 minutes, it can lead to headaches, neck/shoulder pain, lower back pain, and pins & needles into the arms or hands.
Get up. Move. Stretch.
And if the pain’s already there, I can help.
