Tips to reduce bruising post injectable treatments

1. Prior to your appt. avoid blood thinning medications/ supplements (i.e ibuprofen, aspirin, multivitamins, vit E, fish oil, St. John wort, garlic and ginseng)

2. Avoid alcohol 24 hours before and after your treatment

3. Start taking arnica tablets a few days before treatment and/or apply arnica cream to treated areas 3x a day
~Arnica cream and lip balms conveniently available at the clinic~

4. Apply ice 10 minutes at a time in the first 24-48 hrs post treatment

5. Relax and rest! Avoid strenuous exercise or extreme heat post treatment

I will never guarantee that you won’t get any bruising as every patient’s proneness to bruising varies. However follow these steps and it will help reduce your bruising severity as well as healing time.
If you are having a special event , please come see me at an absolute minimum 2 WEEKS before .
