It’s with a mix of sadness and excitement that I announce I’m closing Haley Maree Makeup Artist.

When I started this business in 2016, I took a part time role at the Department of Fire and Emergency Services to pay the bills while I grew HMMA. A year later I ended up accepting a full time role for the department, teaching West Aussies how to plan for and respond to natural disasters. I’ve also had the opportunity to be part of the response effort for major bushfires and cyclones through the department’s Community Liaison Unit and have been privileged to see community spirit at its finest, in the face of adversity. Never did I imagine I would fall so in love with emergency management, even taking up the role of volunteer firefighter. For the last little while I’ve been trying to balance it all, however unfortunately wedding season and bushfire season just happen to be at their busiest at the same time!

The time has come to accept that while we can do anything, we can’t do everything and something had to give. However I know I’m leaving you all in the hands of some truly capable, amazing artists. And I’m always happy to recommend them if any of you need someone.
