In this day and age we all want the more affordable option, but it’s hard to know where to start 🤷🏽‍♀️

These affordable brands and products have been tried and tested - and they work! So when you need something affordable these products will work for you and are trusted.

While I do love an affordable product, sometimes the dollars attached to the higher end products ARE worth it! The products I’ve mentioned are great quality and really do make a difference to your look. With higher price tag it can mean the usability and longevity is more seamless as well!

These are things to consider when buying affordable vs professional…
- Am I going to use this regularly? If you go through a product quickly, you may want to go with the affordable option so that you don’t burn through your makeup budget.
- Does the finish matter to me? If yes, I would suggest going with the professional product.
- Girl math! Spreading the cost over the amount of use can help you justify the outright cost, and maybe this will help steer you toward the more expensive product
- Do I need to or can I treat myself?
- Should I give the affordable product a go? It’s always best to find that medium between affordable and quality finish

The great news is a LOT of chemist brands these days are being made in the same factories as higher end brands so the cost does not always reflect the quality!

I can’t tell you the amount of times I have started to get breakouts or watched my makeup application begin to look less than amazing before I’ve realised it’s because of my brushes being dirty!

I endlessly clean my brushes between clients but I neglect to make sure my personal brushes are cleaned and maintained…. But here’s OUR reminder gals 😉

☑️ Give your brushes some TLC today (or plan to) and watch as your makeup and skin thanks you for it!

🗓️ If you don’t have time today, pop it in your calendar once a month (at a minimum) to give yourself that little reminder. You are worth looking after and doing those little things for yourself!
