As a salon owner and a busy mum, it's hard to find time for myself. But whenever I can squeeze in a little screen time, I do. It helps me switch off for a while.
One thing I noticed is how often we hear phrases like, "Don't be weak like a girl," yet at the same time, so many girls greet each other with, "Hey bro," or "Bhai, mat kar!"
It made me wonder... why do we think calling a girl "bro" is cool, while "girl" is still used as an insult in so many situations?
Being a girl isn't a weakness. It's strength, resilience, kindness, courage, and so much more. We shouldn't have to borrow masculine terms to sound confident or relatable.
This isn't about judging anyone—I catch myself saying these things too. It's simply an observation and a conversation I'd love to have.
