A walk-through of what an Emerald Laser session actually looks like.
When you arrive, your clinician will confirm the treatment area and position you comfortably on the treatment bed. The Emerald device has ten small laser paddles that are positioned above the treatment area, and the laser itself is non-contact, so nothing touches your skin throughout.
The session runs for approximately 30 minutes. Many patients use the time to read, rest, or simply close their eyes. Afterwards, your clinician may apply manual lymphatic drainage techniques to support your body's natural processing.
You can return to your usual activities immediately. There is no downtime.

Where Emerald Laser can be considered.
Because Emerald uses low-level laser light delivered across ten paddles, it can be considered across a broad range of body areas. The areas often discussed at consultation include the abdomen, flanks, back, hips and thighs, upper arms, buttocks, calves, and chin and neck.
Suitability is always assessed individually. Your overall health, your goals, and a number of medical factors all play a part, which is why a consultation with one of our clinicians is the best place to start.

A short explainer on the science behind Emerald Laser.
Emerald uses low-level green laser light at a wavelength of 532 nanometres. Because the laser is non-thermal, it passes through the skin without heating or damaging the surrounding tissue. Rather than destroying fat cells, Emerald prompts them to release their stored contents, which your lymphatic system then processes and clears naturally over the weeks that follow.
This is a quite different approach to body contouring options that rely on heat, freezing, or surgical methods.
