Part 1: Every time you get a massage (if at the spa, from us, or at home), this is what generally happens to your body:
1. Your cortisol drops (your body physically releases the stress hormone)
2. Your circulation improves (oxygen & nutrients flow more freely through your muscles)
3. Your nervous system calms down and goes into rest mode (heart rate slows down, breathing becomes deeper and slower)
4. Muscle tension decreases (depending on the pressure and technique, knots and tightness start to break down)
5. Endorphins (happy hormone) are released (your natural mood boosters kick in)
We will be doing a little series and go more in depth about the benefits of massage 💆🏻♀️
