Behind The Brow
WOLLONGONG COSMETIC TATTOO BROW SPECIALIST
Her brows weren’t “bad” they were unbalanced 👀
When she came in, she couldn’t pin point where things were going wrong with her brows. when having them tinted they were always done reallly THICK and she knew she didn’t want that.
So here’s what mapping revealed - one brow sat noticeably higher than the other, the arch would flatten rather then a soft gradient and the thickness didn’t match either. And this is where brow work gets misunderstood. Because the instinct is to just “copy” one brow onto the other side.
But here’s the thing if I’d copied her higher brow, both would’ve sat too high for her eye shape. If I’d matched the thickness, they’d have overwhelmed her features. Symmetry isn’t duplication. It’s balance. Every face has natural asymmetry! yes, yours too 😅 it’s completely normal. So the goal is never two identical brows. It’s two brows that BELONG on the same face.
The result, ombré powder brows, mapped to her bone structure, splitting the difference between her natural brows so everything sits in harmony. Soft, powdery finish that heals to look like her brows just done. Every single day. No pencil required.
For my students reading this, this is why mapping is NON negotiable. The tattooing is the easy part! The decisions you make before you ever pick up a machine are what separate a good result from a great one.

Wondering what balanced brows would look like on you? Send me a DM or head to the link in my bio to book a consult.
Most artists map and get approval while the client is lying down.
Mine sit up. Full face mirror. Every time.
Here’s why - your face changes when you’re horizontal. Skin shifts back with gravity, lips & brows relax differently, symmetry reads differently. A shape that looks perfect lying down can sit completely differently the moment you’re upright, which is how you actually live your life. Nobody walks around horizontal.
So my clients approve their shape the way the world will actually see it. Sitting up, full face in frame, checking it against their features as a whole. Not a zoomed in section of lip while staring at a ceiling.
It adds minutes to my appointment. It’s saved me from countless “it looked different at home” conversations.
The difference between good artists and exceptional ones isn’t talent. It’s the steps they refuse to skip.
I teach every one of these details in my training and if you’re an artist building your own standards, that’s exactly what my mentorship is for. Links in bio.
Authority isn’t your photoshoot.
Don’t get me wrong, professional photos are a smart investment. They elevate your brand, they get attention, they make you look like you take your business seriously. Mine have paid for themselves. But that’s marketing. That’s not authority.
What doesn’t build authority? Following a mentor’s blueprint on how to be. Dressing like them. Talking like them. Wearing your makeup like them. Copying their aesthetic because they’ve convinced you it’s the “premium” way to show up.
That doesn’t position you ahead. It makes you blend in with every other artist they’ve moulded into a copy of themselves.
You should never dim your light because a coach thinks they get to dictate your style.
A real mentor lights you up. They guide your business. They don’t make you question who you are. They build your confidence, not their clone army. If you’re finishing your calls more confused about who you are than when you started, that’s not mentorship. That’s losing yourself at a premium price.
Invest in someone who embraces artists looking different, sounding different, being different, not someone handing out the same beige advice to everyone who pays.
Your knowledge is your authority. Your personality is your brand. Protect both.
Who else is sick of seeing the same recycled advice?
If you want mentorship from someone who has actually built multiple businesses and one in this economy not just a following dm me for more info x

Sent this Sunday morning with ‘brace yourself’ 😭 Fresh microblading, brow tattoo, lips blush etc IS darker but that’s not why this healed soft.
