তরমুজ কেন খাবেন

তরমুজ ত্বকের তারুণ্য ধরে রাখতে সাহায্য করে

ত্বকের সুস্বাস্থ্যের জন্য তরমুজ বেশ উপকারী। গ্রীষ্মকালীন এই ফলের রস আমাদের ত্বকের পানিশূন্যতা দূর করে। তরমুজে রয়েছে প্রচুর ভিটামিন এ, বি, সি। ভিটামিন এ শুধু ত্বক নয়, চোখ, চুল, নখ, দাঁতসহ সব অঙ্গের পুষ্টির জন্য খুবই জরুরি। গ্রীষ্মকালীন এই ফলে পানি রয়েছে শতকরা প্রায় ৯৩-৯৫ ভাগ।

কোলাজেন আমাদের ত্বকের সংকোচন রোধ করে। তরমুজ আমাদের ত্বকের কোলাজেন বৃদ্ধি করে। নিয়মিত যাঁরা নাইট ডিউটি করেন, রোদে দীর্ঘ সময় যাঁদের কাজ করতে হয়, তাঁদের ত্বকে কালচে ভাব বেড়ে যায়। চলে আসে শুষ্ক ভাব। ত্বকের শুষ্কতা দূর করার জন্য তরমুজ ত্বকের স্ক্র্যাবার হিসেবেও ব্যবহার করা যায়। তরমুজের রসে রয়েছে প্রচুর অ্যান্টি অক্সিডেন্ট। যা আমাদের তারুণ্য বজায় রাখতে সাহায্য করে।

আমাদের সারা দেহে মাকড়সার জালের মতো ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে অসংখ্য স্নায়ু। মুখের ত্বকেও রয়েছে অগণিত স্নায়ু। এই স্নায়ুগুলোকে সঠিকভাবে কাজ করার জন্য ভিটামিন বি খুবই দরকারি। তরমুজে রয়েছে ভিটামিন বি, যা সারা দেহের স্নায়ুর পুষ্টি জোগায় এবং ত্বকের উজ্জ্বলতা বৃদ্ধি করে।

অনেকের মুখ ও ঘাড়ে ব্রণ হয়। তরমুজে রয়েছে অ্যান্টি ব্যাকটেরিয়াল উপাদান। যা ত্বকের ব্যাকটেরিয়াকে ধ্বংস করতে সাহায্য করে। পরিণামে ব্রণ তৈরি হওয়ার ব্যাকটেরিয়া কমে যায়। ত্বক পরিষ্কারক হিসেবেও তরমুজ পালন করে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা।

ছোট–বড় সব বয়সের মানুষের জন্য তরমুজ খুবই উপকারী ফল। এই ফলে পানির পরিমাণ বেশি হওয়ায় শরীরের অম্ল–ক্ষারের ভারসাম্য বজায় রাখে, দূর করে ক্লান্তিভাব। তরমুজে রয়েছে খনিজ লবণের উপস্থিতি। ত্বক, চুল, দাঁত, হাড় ও নখের পুষ্টির জন্য খনিজ লবণও ভীষণ উপকারী। তবে তরমুজ টাটকা অবস্থায় খাওয়াই উত্তম। এই ফল ফ্রিজে দীর্ঘদিন সংরক্ষণ করা অনুচিত।
