স্ক্যাল্প বা মাথার ত্বক হয় দুই রকমের—শুষ্ক ও তৈলাক্ত। শুষ্ক ত্বকে খুশকির সমস্যা বেশি দেখা দেয় আর মাথার ত্বক তৈলাক্ত হলেও চুল শুষ্ক হয়ে যায়। ত্বকের ধরন বুঝে যত্ন নিতে হয়, তেমনি চুলেরও ধরন বুঝে যত্ন নিতে হবে।

মাথার তৈলাক্ত ত্বকের যত্নে
মাথার তৈলাক্ত ত্বকে লুকিয়ে থাকা খুশকির প্রাদুর্ভাব দেখা দেয়। অর্থাৎ খুশকি ত্বকের সঙ্গে লেগে থাকে। এ সমস্যা থেকে রক্ষা পেতে মৌরি এবং সমপরিমাণ পানি সারা রাত ভিজিয়ে রেখে পরদিন ভালোমতো বেটে মাথার ত্বকে এক থেকে দেড় ঘণ্টা লাগিয়ে রাখুন। তারপর শ্যাম্পু করে ধুয়ে ফেললে খুশকি দূর হবে।

মাথার শুষ্ক ত্বকের যত্নে
শীতকালে মাথার শুষ্ক ত্বক আরও বেশি শুষ্ক হয়ে যায়। খুশকি বেড়ে যায়, বাড়ে বিড়ম্বনাও। এ থেকে মুক্তি পেতে চাইলে দেড় টেবিল চামচ মেথি ও দেড় টেবিল চামচ শুকনা আমলকী এক কাপ পানিতে সারা রাত ভিজিয়ে রাখার পর বেটে ফেলুন। এরপর এর সঙ্গে মেশান দুই-তিন চা-চামচ মধু। এই মিশ্রণ চুলের গোড়ায় লাগালে খুশকি যেমন দূর হবে তেমনি চুলে পুষ্টি জোগাতেও সাহায্য করবে। শাহিনা আফরিন বলেন, এ ক্ষেত্রে উপাদানগুলো সঠিক পরিমাণে নেওয়া খুব জরুরি।

চুল ধুতে হবে নিয়মিত
ঠান্ডার দিনে গোসল করার একধরনের ভীতি দেখা যায় অনেকের মধ্যে। গোসলের জন্য শরীরে গরম পানি ব্যবহার করা হলেও মাথায় গরম পানি ব্যবহার করা যায় না। এ জন্য অনেকে গোসলের সময় চুল ভেজান না। ফলে শ্যাম্পুও করা হয় না নিয়মিত। শাহিনা আফরিনের মতে, এটি একেবারেই করা উচিত নয়। বরং এ সময় বাইরে অনেক বেশি ধুলাবালু উড়ে বলে রোজ চুল পরিষ্কার করা উচিত। ঠান্ডা পানি দিয়েই চুল ধোয়ার কাজ সেরে ফেলতে হবে।

চুলের যত্নে কী করবেন?
রুক্ষ আবহাওয়ায় মৃদু শ্যাম্পু ব্যবহার করা ভালো। এক কাপ গরম পানিতে পাঁচ থেকে ছয়টা রিঠা সারা রাত ভিজিয়ে রেখে পরদিন তা দিয়ে চুল ধুয়ে ফেলতে পারেন। এটি শ্যাম্পুর কাজ করে থাকে। চুল রং করা থাকলে এই মিশ্রণের ব্যবহারে অনেক সময় চুল রুক্ষ বোধ হতে পারে,
