Professor Omar Yaghi, Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry 2025, has introduced a powerful solar powered device that can pull up to one thousand liters of clean drinking water from air every day.
Developed by his company Atoco, the twenty foot container sized system works even in desert regions where humidity falls below twenty percent. It uses advanced Metal Organic Framework materials that trap water molecules from air and release them using solar heat. Research on these materials has been published in leading scientific journals and tested in collaboration with major universities.
