The maple barber

A month ago I got in touch with KORUA, a snowboard brand from Germany that’s been catching my eye for a while.
Since I wanted to display one of their boards in the shop and hopefully start working with them as a brand, I was lucky enough to get my hands on this beauty.

Last week I took it out in all kinds of conditions, and this is my story about it:

I’ve been riding the KORUA Dart with Rome Katana bindings, and honestly, this setup has completely taken over as my new favourite board. I’ve had it out in fresh powder and groomers.

In powder, it’s ridiculous. The nose floats, the tail sinks, and suddenly you’re surfing the mountain instead of riding it. It’s effortless, playful, and just stupidly fun. The Katanas pair perfectly with it too. Responsive without being too stiff, so the whole ride feels smooth and intuitive.

On groomers, the Dart is way more fun than a directional board should be. It locks in, stays stable, and just begs you to carve. And when you really start laying it over… yeah, that’s where this thing becomes addictive. Deep, clean, drawn‑out turns that make you grin.

One thing to know: this board is not made to ride switch. You can force it if you have to, but that’s not what the Dart is about. It’s built for directional fun, and it absolutely nails that.

If you’re into carving, powder, and that surf‑style feel, I’d recommend the Dart without hesitation. It’s honestly the board I reach for every single time now.
