Do you have a loved one with a beard? Do they use a beard oil? When they do, it will help soften it and sooth the itch that sometimes occurs.
Here's what you can do:
Use equal parts Jojoba, Marula and Vit E oils and blend thoroughly. Then add one of the following blends, again stir thoroughly. Once blended, make sure to store at no more than room temp and keep closed tightly between uses. Interesting trend for 2023
12 Biggest Wellness Trends in 2023, by The Global Wellness Summit wellness, spa business, trends, wellness trends, exercise, wellness habits, workplace wellness
What's happening? Anyone formulating their own cosmetics? Has Covid hurt your business? What are your plans? Please share your thoughts about getting into business or staying in business these days.
Looking ahead on 2023, another trend from the Institute of Personal Care Science for cosmetic manufacturers: Gender neutral products.
In 2023 we’re going to see an increase in cosmetic product launches claiming gender neutral and/or inclusive beauty. Formulating gender neutral is not difficult – but you do need to consider the biological skin types of your consumer rather than how they identify, then market the products effectively in a way that helps your gender-neutral audience know what to look for.
This trend is especially important if you are targeting those in the Gen-Z or Millennial age groups but can still benefit all brands with a more inclusive approach.
We would love to know your thoughts on this trend.

PHANE HARVESTERS SECURE MARKET
Mophane worm (phane) harvesters in the Bobirwa region will, as of April, sell their harvest at multi-purpose corperative society facilities in the area in a move intended to protect them from unscrupulous buyers.
The move, it is said, is aimed at protecting the harvesters from obvious and rampant exploitation by the buyers who oftentimes target those desperate to raise money for pressing daily needs such as buying groceries or school uniform for their children.
Complaints arose during a Tsetsebjwe kgotla meeting addressed by Bobonong Member of Parliament Mr Taolo Lucas on Monday and reverberated further in Moletemane, with harvesters crying foul that price at which buyers sought to acquire phane did not match the labour input.
Also, harvesters argued that the risks involved in harvesting the worm called for a better price.

Here is an interesting statistic. The average American woman uses products containing 163 unique ingredients every day! Makes you wonder about the cumulative effects of being exposed to a cocktail of chemicals (however small) on a regular basis.
Maybe you don't apply lots of skin care creams and lotions, shampoos, and makeup products every day. But the next time you want to rub something on your skin, apply eye shadow or lipstick, or slap on some perfume or roll on anti-antiperspirant in your arm pits, read the label of ingredients.
Do you really want all those chemicals on your face? Your arms? Your hair? On your children?
If the ingredients look like a listing of Greek words, maybe you don't want to use them.
Looking ahead on 2023, another trend from the Institute of Personal Care Science for cosmetic manufacturers: Refillable packaging.
Even if you have a small cosmetic business or just starting one, keeping trends in mind will help you plan.
There will be a growing focus on packaging in 2023, and recyclable packaging at a very minimum will be the new ‘standard’. In 2023, we’ll see some great refillable packaging emerge, and innovative brands that are able to bring products to market using this new packaging will really stand out. Make sure your cosmetic products are packaged in renewable, recyclable and otherwise sustainable packaging materials, reduce excess packaging where it is otherwise not required, and move to refillable packaging where possible to show your consumer additional steps you are taking toward conscious beauty!
Been a long time since our last post! We haven't forgotten our readers. Lots of other priorities taking our time. We are delighted to be back on Facebook.
We are looking at trends in the cosmetics industry for 2023. The Institute of Personal Care Science has identified five very interesting ones.
Let us know your thoughts on the first trend:
#!. Cosmetic trend 2023: Fast visible results essential
"Consumers want products that work: this is not a new concept! However, consumers are more savvy, discerning and even demanding when it comes to product results. When they’re happy, they’re also keen to share this on social media, which is great news for any brand. Make sure your products contain either a fast-acting active, or where the active may need time to work, provide your consumer with some opacifying, soft focus or skin firming results for an instant wow factor while the key actives provide longer term benefits in the background. Our blog explains how to formulate for rapid results, and it is an essential element of any successful launch in 2023.
As an industry we’ve had a lot to deal with in recent years, and there have been some significant economic changes for consumers as well. 2023 is a chance for brands to show their innovation, conscious and sustainable decisions, whilst ensuring consumers feel heard and are offered customised, individualised products with fast-acting results. Make sure your developments incorporate a few of these trends, (or all of them if formulating for Gen-Z or Millennials!) and you’ll be leaps and bounds ahead of the competition."
Watch for Trend #2 in an upcoming post.
