We did 2 beaded rows using in the shades Bitter Sweet and Cinnamon Suede, custom coloured using Igora Royal. We also added 6 K-tips on each side to get closer to the hairline!

Root colour: 4-0, 4-88, 5-99 equal parts with 10 volume
Ends: 4-88 and 5-99 with 15 volume
Extensions 5-88, 4-88, 0-89, 5-99, L-89 and 20 volume

Roots: 2/3 6-77 and 1/3 10-0 10-0 with 20 vol
Ends: 1/2 6-77 and 1/2 6-46 with 10 volume

I didn’t take a before photo, but the mids/ends had been lifted to a level 7, while the roots remained a natural level 5. In order to ensure an even lift from top to bottom, we needed some extra lift at her roots, which is why I added 10-0.

An update on how my Minoxidil treatment is working so far!

There are lots of new baby hairs in my recession area, which is where I have the most sparseness. I didn’t notice a difference at all to be honest, until I took these photos.

In terms of shedding, I didn’t notice much of a “dread shed” and feel like I’m still losing a similar amount of hair as always (will make a post to show you what this looks like too). This is very likely due to the fact that I have CTE (chronic telogen effluvium) and Finasteride does nothing to prevent this type of hair loss (it only works to help the AGA—female pattern hair loss component). That being said, the Minoxidil should eventually help keep those hairs attached to my head longer. It’s just too soon to see the shedding slow down yet.
