I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the Nurse Practitioner program at Dal starting in January !!!! This has been a dream in the making, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to become an NP!!
The driving force behind this journey? My girls. I want them to see a mother who is resilient, passionate, and always chasing her dreams. I want them to know that they can do ANYTHING they set their minds to. They are the driving focus behind eveything I do. They are my whole worlds ♥️♥️

💋Understanding Fordyce Spots and Lip Filler 💋
What Are Fordyce Spots?
Fordyce spots are small, painless, pale bumps that can appear on the lips or inside the mouth. They are caused by enlarged oil glands and are completely harmless.
What Causes Them?
These spots result from the overgrowth of sebaceous glands, which produce oil. Fordyce spots are a common and natural occurrence, not linked to any serious health issues.
Why Do They Appear More Pronounced After Lip Filler?
Lip fillers can temporarily increase the prominence of Fordyce spots. The added volume can push these spots closer to the surface, making them more noticeable. This is a normal effect and should subside as the filler settles and your lips adjust.

💋Before and After Care Tips for Lip Filler Treatment💋
Before Your Appointment:
💋Remove makeup thoroughly before your treatment.
💋Avoid taking anti-inflammatories (Advil, Celebrex, Motrin, etc.) 48 hours prior to your appointment.
💋Steer clear of herbal medications that can increase the risk of bruising, such as Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, and St. John’s Wort, 48 hours before your appointment.
💋Refrain from consuming alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.
Please Reschedule Your Appointment If:
💋You are currently being treated with antibiotics; ensure treatment is complete at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
💋You have active cold sores or an oral/facial herpes infection.
💋You have had a dental appointment, including routine cleanings, within 2 weeks prior to your lower face tox/dermal filler treatment.
💋You received a flu shot or vaccination within 2 weeks prior to your appointment; vaccinations should be avoided for 2 weeks after your treatment.
💋You have had tattoos within 1 week prior to or following your treatment.
💋You have plans to travel within 48 hours after receiving HA filler treatment.
💋You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy.
After Your Lip Filler Appointment:
💋Avoid touching your lips to allow for proper healing.
💋Skip dental appointments for 2 weeks following treatment (and 2 weeks prior).
💋Refrain from air travel for 48 hours after treatment.
💋Avoid wearing lipstick and gloss for the first 24 hours.
💋Do not use a straw immediately after treatment.
💋Stay away from strenuous exercise, heat, sun exposure, and alcohol.
💋Apply arnica cream and use ice packs intermittently to alleviate any discomfort.
