There are SO many moments in this job that remind me just how incredibly lucky I am.

Today was one of those moments. You become so much more than clients.

A client took the time to make me the most beautiful personalized gift, and I’m honestly still speechless. It wasn’t expected, but it means the world to know that something I do has made enough of an impact to inspire such a thoughtful gesture.

To every client who welcomes me into your barn, your home, and trusts me with the animals you love so deeply—thank you. Your trust, kindness, and support are gifts in themselves, and I never take them for granted.

This beautiful keepsake will always remind me why I chose this path and how special the connections we build truly are.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making me feel so appreciated. I’m beyond grateful. 🤍🐴🐶

This is by far one of the most common questions horse owners ask — and for good reason.

Horses are masters at hiding discomfort, and small changes can leave owners wondering whether what they’re seeing is normal, training‑related, or a sign their horse needs support.

Here are some of the most frequent indicators owners notice before booking massage bodywork:

🙌 Changes in behaviour — pinning ears, reluctance to be caught, irritability
🙌 Movement differences — stiffness, shortened stride, difficulty bending
🙌 Performance inconsistencies — refusing jumps, late transitions, resistance in one direction
🙌 Grooming reactions — flinching, tightening, or sensitivity in certain areas
🙌 Saddle fit shifts — uneven sweat marks, slipping saddles, new pressure points
🙌 General tension — tight topline, sore back, or difficulty relaxing

Most owners simply want clarity and reassurance — they want to do right by their horse and understand what their horse’s body is trying to communicate.

Massage therapy can help identify patterns, release tension, and support comfort, recovery, and performance. If you’re ever unsure whether your horse might benefit from a session, you’re never alone in that question — it’s one of the most common conversations in equine care.

“Emilie's entrepreneurial spirit and love for animals began at a young age when she started her first dog-walking business at just six or seven years old. As she grew older, she worked for a dog groomer to help support the costs of owning and competing with her horse in eventing. After originally aspiring to become a veterinarian, Emilie discovered her passion for equine massage therapy after witnessing its benefits firsthand with her own horse.

She moved to London, Ontario to attend the Equine Massage Therapy program at the D'Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy, completing the intensive 2,200-hour program in 2018. Upon graduation, Emilie became registered with the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists and currently serves on its Board of Directors.

She has also spent several years working in a small animal veterinary clinic and has completed multiple canine and feline certifications, including canine hydrotherapy, veterinary nutrition, and Fear Free practices. Now based in Nova Scotia, Emilie travels throughout the province providing massage therapy services for both equine and canine companions.”
