Before I ever owned a salon… I was a client.

And if I’m being honest, I never really felt like I fit into most salon environments.

Some felt intimidating. Some felt cliquey. Some made me feel like I had to look a certain way or know exactly what I wanted before I even walked through the door.

So when I built Beauty Extension Haus, I didn’t just think about hair.

I thought about how I wanted people to feel.

Comfortable.
Welcome.
Never judged.
Like they could show up in a messy bun, ask a hundred questions, laugh, cry, vent, celebrate… and leave feeling a little more like themselves.

Every little detail, from the atmosphere to the conversations we have, has been shaped by my own experience as a client first.

Hair extensions may be what we do… but making people feel safe, confident, and genuinely cared for has always been the real goal.

And now, as we grow from Barrie to Sarasota, that’s the one thing that will never change. 💜🫶🏻

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately…

Every time I post about Sarasota, I get this little wave of anxiety. And after really sitting with it, I realized why.

I think a part of me worries my Barrie queens might think I’m moving on… or leaving them behind.

That couldn’t be further from the truth. 💜

Barrie is home. It’s where Beauty Extension Haus was built. It’s where so many of you trusted me with your hair, supported my dream, and helped turn a tiny vision into something bigger than I ever imagined. I will never stop being grateful for that.

Sarasota isn’t replacing Barrie… it’s because of Barrie.

I’m just lucky enough to be growing something I love in two places. I’ll be doing lots of back-and-forth, my incredible team will continue taking amazing care of our Canadian clients while I’m away, and I’ll still be here cheering everyone on from both sides of the border.

And hey… this just gives my Canadian girls a pretty good excuse to book your maintenance in Florida once in a while. 😉🌴
